Dude! Rules are not made to be broken. Are they broken? Yes, In fact, I drove for 1 hour today doing 68MPH in a 65MPH zone. Was it wrong? Yes. Did I get caught? No. Did that make it right? No.





Rules are made to be abided by, but not all of us do that. in fact, my truck at 500/1000 hp/tq is not legal anyway, but by not getting caught does not make it right!





We bend and break laws, but that's not what they are there for. If you really believe that laws are only in exsistence to be broken, you have an IQ equal to or less than the average temperature of the Antartic.

MCummings your more ^$#^% than me thinking I think its OK to break and bend every law and rule there is.

I made the statement in the fact that DC will bend and break the rules just so they don't have to honor the warrantee. But they don't want us to break and bend the rules by us BOMBing our trucks. Its just the same as DC putting a truck out on the market knowing that there are issues with it. Like I said before. Lift pumps, VP 44's ball joints, tranys, intercoolers. They put the stuff on the truck knowing there are going to be problems just so they can deni or cancel the warrantee. You tell me if its right that the dealer and Star and DC jerks somebody around with 3, 4, or 5 trips to the dealer to try and fix a bad LP when the customer takes it in knowing what's wrong with it. They know damn well what the problem is they just hope they will were you down and you will stop coming around. And GOD forbid if they see something in the computer, well than you are just up the creak without a paddle. So now who's bending the rules.

I guess it's not the issue of trying to get covered on a warrentied part, but, rather, an issue of "rules are made to be broken".



I don't think they are, but although I don't like it, I do practice the "eye for an eye" in most situations.





I think most dealers are just plain ignorant with the diesels. I mean, How often do fuel pumps go out on gasser vehicle's ? Shouldn't Diesel's be the same?



Even me, who had a performance shop, didn't know everything about these trucks.





BTW, How is DC bending and breaking rules?

My wife retired from DCX January 1st after 39 yrs, and of course Im have been driving (and racing) mopars for most of those years. I knew when I bought my 68 charger hemi that I was going to use it in a "contest of speed" and that would void my warranty so I made a deal with the dealer that I would sign the work order for warranty with labor and they would give me the part to install and the labor would be pure profit. Was this legal or moral? luckly I never had to find out as I never broke anything on that car. Over the years I had a good working relationship with that dealer and when my street cars need something I bought or warrantied the parts and installed them myself. Chrysler has been very good to my family and myself and I do not think they place a bad part OR product on the market because of so many different problems that causes. GM and Ford are now reaping those "benefits". I do not wish to preach to any choir but I to am a blue collar "geek" who only has my word as the one thing I OWN. Either the bank or my uncle sam pretty much owns everything else. If I give you my word on something then I better damn well do it or I am not worth anything. I was once asked if someone sent me $100. 00 by mistake would I keep it,and the answer is of course no, but increase that to $1000000. 00 and just maybe. We all prostitute ourselfs daily,that is we sell ourselfs for money everyday but we don't have to be ******. Being a gas guy I have learned much from DTR and will continue to but there are some here I would be proud to have as a friend and then there are the others
