What have you done to get the rubber gasket at the top of the firewall to stay in its place?

I've done several unsuccessful searches. I know someone on here has figured it out.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I haven't had a problem with that one but the foam one's on the back sides came loose and I put RTV on the bottom and closed the hood till it set. Maybe the same fix.

I used contact cement in four places. About two inches long in each spot. This way if it has to come off it should not be a problem.

I did feel it important to have mine in place so I bought new left and right corner ones. These were the ones that would not stay in place. I took a razor and removed the double sticky back tape so that only clean foam surface was showing. I cleaned the mating surface on the truck and then used 3M's weather strip glue. (Black in color) I put the foam gaskets in place and that took care of the problem. They have weathered many years of winter etc.

I also put a thin layer of grease on the top which seals to the hood. I found that in the winter if the weather would warm and then freeze, they would freeze to the hood. They would tear if I opened the hood. No further problem.
