My lower ball joints are bad and I'm working on getting a shop to fix them. So far the only people that have ball joints for my truck is the dealer.

my truck WILL NOT GO TO ANY DEALER!!! but the shop is being punished with the dodge parts prices.

Somebody must know of an aftermarket joint. The oem joints have no zurks.

HELP!!!

My 2000 has 67K on it,and a season of plowing,with a 980 lb Boss V plow,all 4 are still tight,I just checked them last week,no play yet.

Lost mine about 85K miles. Dealer replaced under extended warranty. ONLY place I could find them was dealer. Their part number on the efiche is for BOTH upper and lower per side. DO NOT just change the lower. Labor is not much more for uppers also. Sorry to say, I also needed front bearing carriers. . Friggin dirt roads. I did discover one compant that sells a HD upper but it is mainly used for correcting a camber problem.

Check out his sig. You will see that it is caused by all of the Wheelies Mark does, that 5 ft. drop when he lets of the go peddle is hard on the ball joints ;)

the 2. 0 60' times are rough on components:D:D:D

I ran a 9. 5 1/8th @75mph Wed on #2 only:). . I was out of N2O:(

I ran a 2. 2 60' though. . my best #2 60' time was 2. 15 with a KSB-1 but I was 2mph slower at 9. 7sec

all in a 7800# dually:rolleyes:

Anybody got info on those upper ball joints?????

from what I understand the camber is not adjustable. anybody know about this?

Adjustable/greasable front ball joints

The place you need to call is Ingle products they should have what your looking for. I used there ball joints to correct the severe pull to the right, in my truck. Do a search on ball joints and Ingle and you should come up with the number and prices. Good luck.....

Here try this link and look at ftb87 there is a part number and phone number should still be the same... ...

So I take it it fixed the pull? I have it too and a shop told me it was the ball joints but they couldnt find any for my truck (Yet). Sounds like this is the fix maby.

Yes it did

Sky I dealt with the dealer on my steering problems for a year, it was either cross camber or castor they said you cannot adjust on our trucks due to the ball joints are non adjustable. They also told me there was no such thing as adjustable ball joints for our trucks, and as soon as they found one they would fix my truck. Well I found them with a little help (special thanks to ftb87) and told my dealer about them, then had to deal with them doing the work. Eventually they agreed to do the work even though they were not a d/c part. And now to answer your question, yes they did correct the severe right pull. After the dealer installed them, it still would'nt steer straight so I took it to a good alignment shop and now all is well. Good luck on this..... :D

Been here, called Ingalls, etc. I needed both LOWER and upper. I HAD to go OEM. Anyone know of a NON OEM lower balljoint? Which was the initial question. .

The oem set is the only lower. as a set of upper and lower:mad: for $212 per side:mad::mad:

Stempf makes an upper that is adjustable in car. Looks like I'll have to get an extra set of uppers to to get it done right because dodge is the only supplier of lower joints.

This stepf part only came available 22aug02. The Ingall part requires idsassembly of the front end to adjust but it's much cheaper.

I'll try to get some info on the Stempf part. for ya.
