............. but both filters aren't cheap compared to this setup. These CAT filters are $14-15 and better filtration.

Yea, but you still have to replace the rear filter too. The cost at the link listed is showing $68 for both (OEM rear and this CAT filter). I just paid around that for both front and rear OEM.

Also, don't replace the front filter and they can deny warranty.

Amazon had the Mopar Dual filters on the other day. Athens Dodge is who I usually see having a sale. $70+$7 shipping.

That's not bad I guess if you have one truck. It's $24 more than we are paying now per change times 17 trucks. That's $408 for us every fleet filter change times 2-3 times a year, equals $800-1200/yr. savings plus our labor costs. It's less than half the time for our mechanic to change them and we are paying him $23/hr. too so it makes sense for us.

I did the dieselfilterkit for my 04.5 but how is that going to work for warranty on a new truck if you aren't changing the factory ones often enough?

*I think the new filter system for 13 and newer are more efficient and possibly the kit is not needed, like your 04.5. I'll be installing the kit on my 07 C&C, or at least something similar.*

I would think twice about Aftermarket filtration. Buy genuine Mopar.

I understand and perhaps I should have clarified my strategy. My fuel filter at the tank is the aftermarket but the final filter at the engine IS MoPar. I believe this should be okay. ANy thoughts on this strategy?

"Mac Auto Parts" *never heard of them! *For $16 more you could have had the MOPAR factory engine AND pre filter. *If you have a fuel related issue they can and will deny warranty for using sub standard filters.

The filter you spec'd on Amazon is not a genuine filter . Are you using these at the tank? one reviewer on amazon said:

Seem fine but recommend shorter intervals of servicing them for fuel system life.
