As some will note this may seem an odd question as my handle is 1stgen4evr. None the less, I have been telling everyone I encounter about the TDR web site. I stumbled onto it by accident while looking for answers regarding Dodge problems on my first gen trucks. It has become a resounding success for me in solving the questions I had. It is an amazment to me how few (0) owners that I have found that know of the site. In my pushiness to tell everyone I see at fuel pumps etc, I ran into this yesterday.
A guy who is just the operator of and not the owner of a 2000 model manual transmission regular cab Dodge had this to say. I pull this equipment which weighs 16,000 lbs and I only get nine miles to the gallon. The company has a Ford that gets better mileage and has more power. I wish this one would puke and I would get a new Ford.
Total weight must be close to 25,000 but is under CDL. My brother has a 97 and a 2000 and I think that he does somewhat better with his mileage. Working as hard as the truck obviously is, is that typical mileage or isn't something wrong with his truck.
Regarding the membership drive, get the word out, be pushy, The more folks we have in the forums, the more information we will have in the pool of knowledge. Copy the windshield leaflet but put it in their hands. Tell them about TDR. Yeah, I know that we are going to make someone rich as six foot into a manure pile but so what if we get the info we want.
