I have a #5 fuel plate. It has a forward /sloop on the under side of the foot. The cam-foot that travels this area, some times goes under the foot of the plate, leaving it dead on response. What I want to know is---- can I grind this area to a backward\ sloop, to help get the sliding/cam-foot to travel the fuel plate? like its supposed to. It will cut down on the length of the plate foot, but I can't see what difference this would make.

I know I can adjust the foot, but my Houdini skills vanished.

I had a Ebay number 10 plate that I ground down to a #100 precisely because my plate / arm/ foot or whatever you call it kept hanging up and I had no fuel or power. The #100 works perfectly, though I've had issues keeping EGT down. Finally plugged up the hose going to the wastegate which seems to make it easier to keep the EGT down. I still have to watch it, and try and keep boost to 35psi. Gotta see if I can re-adjust the boost elbow I have for the same effect, but let the waste gate open at that 35psi.

And yep, now I need a transmission. It's starting to slip when that massive torque kicks in when in overdrive. I've learned to keep my revs up to save the transmission a little bit longer.

I have a # 6 plate currently.

Built the transmission and know I'm thinking of grinding the old stock plate to a 4/100.

Any thoughts or pearls of wisdom are greatly appreciated.
