It does.....Does my 2016- 2500 have the Cp 3 ???
Thanks gtwitch in wyoming
My vin came up on the recall and no parts available say’s my dealership and others. So what happens when it blows up on my drive home 32000 miles how can it be fixed with no parts? Or do they replace with new?.
If it blows up, it gets parked in the dealers service lot along with the rest awaiting parts.
4% failure rate. How can we make that sound more scary?
Id suspect that once the aftermarket pump goes on the warranty goes out the window... I could see them denying almost anything due to a "modified" engine, not worth the risk IMHO.
To quote Alfred E Neuman:
#ad
Until such time where "the event" would more than likely dramatically increase my useable vocabulary and cause my blood pressure to pop all safety valves, I refuse to damage my inner knees, gnaw my fingernails beyond nubs, or just plain perspire profusely in pre-panic demolition premonition. I will enjoy every useable moment driving with the potential ticking CP4 glitter time bomb, thanking the Good Lord for yet another grand day winning a lottery in life, and use my truck for what it was meant for, enjoying and having fun while it lasts. I do have one small advantage by having the later CP4 with the singular "Meteor Crater" sized machined dot on the housing indicating something positive...maybe...kinda-sorta...I hope...pretty please
Now that I have said that......No jinx - No jinx - No jinx!!!
I love pushing the envelope in everything I do...most of the time.Sorry, open and blatant bragging invites jinx! Don't shoot the messenger...

You will get the new setup. They are available in limited quantities until the shelves are full enough for the recall to start. Others have gone through this recently. My vin came up on the recall and no parts available say’s my dealership and others. I called my great Service Manager, he said he's slated for parts on 3/29/22. I am first on his list.I have a 2020 ram mega cab dually and I just got mine recall notice from FCA regarding the high pressure furl pump (CP4). I may call my dealer and see if and when I can get mine replaced.
Of course, I've got less than 4000 miles on it.
