I got the new governor springs in Friday. Went off without a hitch. I got everything set back just like it was, Idle RPM dropped a little. Less than 100 rpm. Truck pulls real hard to just over 3k and will rev on to 3500. Truck will almost go 100mph now.

The only problem I am having is that the throttle seems a bit touchy on the first little bit of travel. It kind of makes the truck buck when driving on washboard dirt roads, or just slow speeds in general are hard to control.

Is there a way to adjust this to smooth it out some?

Some guys have added another throttle return spring on the linkage.

I know another person who has his "driving boots" that are worn in perfectly comfortable for long trips and the perfect feel of the throttle.

I have a similar problem, only when towing though. I have a spare spring hanging on the linkage and hook it up for towing. Really does the trick. Super B on the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
