The Night before Christmas

Like "rolling coal" ??

Maybe I can have an exception for making smoke with my stacks??

People (innocent bystanders, people @ gas stations, and other drivers) see my stacks and say, HaHa, he has stacks on that little Dodge Pickup,, He's a trucker wannabe,, then I put my foot down and I get these eyes from people watching  then there's a little bit of Diesel smoke in there air for people to enjoy. Then I think,, Ya, I do have stacks on my little Dodge Pickup, and I like them very much.

Pretty much my outlook as well - I have NO illusions that my "smoking" some idiot will instantly reform him into a caring and considerate member of society - I simply do it for my OWN entertainment - no different than the passing VERBAL comment of rebuttal you might make to some ignorant clod - only in THIS case, it is delivered from my tailpipe!

Like a fella said above, we can't expect to teach a pig to sing or dance - but we CAN give him more mud to wallow in... :p ;) :D

Well, get ready to hear chingos more!!! with 191's, too much smoke was not enough!! I turned the magic star wheel 10 turns... not enough, so 10 more, what the heck?!?!? Smoke??? UHH, YEEEEAAAHH!!!!!! Ricers, and idiot drivers, BEWARE!!!

Why do you even care what those people think? I like your stacks (I wouldn't ever put stacks on my truck (cost versus need thing), but I like'em), various other Ford, Dodge, & Chevy truckers like'em. So what do you care? When a person does a mod like that to their truck, that person has to realize that prolly less than 1% of the general population is going to have any appreciation for them. You gotta be ready to sluff off those other 99% with differring opinions. Otherwise, you'll only get about 200 miles out of a set of brake pads from all the "smoke-braking," on those people that you'll have to do.

For that matter, even though I don't have stacks, I'm a serious trucker-wanna-be. I drive my truck as though its a big rig, the sound helps out immensely. :D Don't you think you're a trucker wanna be? I don't know about you, but I'm taking it as a compliment.

IMHO, when people do stupid things in their cars that almost cause traffic accidents, that's worthy of a big ole smokey cloud (in their window if possible). But you can't really fault others for having an opinion different than ours, or every person out there would be driving Cummins diesels - and what would be the fun of that?

JyRO,

Thanks for the kind words.

I agree 100% with having to fend off the 99% of the population,, they will NEVER understand.

As far as the "smoke-braking" with a drag comp HX-40 w/18cm housing and "Competition use only" Diesel Dynamics "Drug Pusher" injectors,, the only thing I have to do to smoke out two lanes of traffic is put my foot to the floor.

Keep up the smoke :D

Well, I got a good moron in an Acura yesterday on the way home from work. They were hauling in and out of lanes, and got up so close to my rear end, I thought they were drafting... . I speed up a little bit, to around 80, since I was going 72-75 already... Nothing. 10 plate gets turned on to 5x5:D :D :D , Still there. I slow down, assume the position (½ in the shoulder, and ½ in the left lane), position the pipe at the center of the car, drop it into neutral, wait 3 seconds, put it back in 5th gear, and MASH IT DOWN TO THE FLOOR!!!! Oh, the humanity!! The smoke was so thick, I thought I was trying to be Uncle Buck! I got a bunch of thumbs up from a few people who I went by and saw this idiot zipping around lanes, which made me laugh harder. . He finally figured out that he could not come around me, so he just rode, about 7 carlengths back!! Guess he wont be doing that for a while! Ahh, yes... gotta love the good ol' Vigilante justice, and Smoke braking!!!:D :D

-Chris-

Got one today but this was a bud that hasn't seen my truck yet at least from the rear... . 25MPH in third and I hammer to show another guy riding with me what it runs like, we looked back and he was swerving around the cloud as the wind was still.

Smoke generators on military vehicles simply spray some raw diesel into the exhaust stream. Has anyone thought about getting an automotive injector and auxillary fuel pump and setting up their own smoke generator? You could install it in the turbo down pipe like you would a thermocouple.

Unlimited smoke without the need to lug the engine!

rbattelle, I like the way you think!;) I have been thinking about the exact same idea. Does anybody know the flash point of diesel? If the exhaust temp were too high the injected fuel might ignite. anyway, I would love to have both stacks chuggin out smoke even at idle. ! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... . umlimited smoke!!!!:D

Spanked an F250 weenie 4 door shortbed last night. 4 times!

As if one time was not good enough. the moron was hogging the left lane, so as I go by, I goose the soot generator, letting him know by noise that this is one big bad truck! I get about ¼ mile ahead of him, and next thing I know, I have headlights on my back bumper... It's about 45° outside, and I still roll down the window, and wave bye bye to him:D . I pull away, no problem, and go about my business. . I guess this made him mad, as he is back for another beating. this time, I give him about a 2 truck head start as I wind my PDR HX40 up to kill him... this time he is in the right lane, and I am in the left, his window is about ½ way down, and he gets all 102+ Db in the cab, as well as some unburned #2. well, he comes back again, this time pacing me... so by now my date and I are laughing at the stupidity of someone, and I tell her that the 3rd time is always the charm... I let him pace us doing about 65-70, drop boost to zero to make sure we get a nice smoky launch in 5th, and away we go again!! this guy probably has been watching too many commercials and thinks his truck is the BOMB from the factory... we need some more people from Diesel Innovations to bring their fords down here and show up some of the idiots lingering in this town! Needless to say we went one more time, and I had to get off the ramp, but he got to see [the cloud] and hear [the mighty CTD], and I am sure his ears were ringing too...

-Chris-

I had a Beemer try to keep me from changing lanes today but needless to say when the guy saw a 7300 pound truck coming over regardless... . he backed off quickly. Then he rode on my rear so I let the Hybrid drop to no boost and then put the petal to the metal on 5x5. After the smoke cleared I realized he was way back there with his wipers on. :p

I am still trying to figure out why the hell they use their wipers!!! Its not like the soot sticks! Well, I guess if we had some afterburners in the downpipe, it maybe would spray some fuel out! Could you imagine that??? WOW!!

-Chris-

Involuntary smoking...

Since my LP's been acting up, its been running out of fuel. Well those that are behind me (me with my flashers on), have managed to soak up some really thick stinky white clouds. I have no sympathy for them, my flashers have been on and I've been poking along so they could easily pass me. Does this count? :D

- JyRO

If it emits a fog from the stink pipe, or makes people mad, IT IS GOOD for the 2 point conversion!!!! hehehe, yeah, its good! I can't believe we are almost into page 4 of this thread!!! That ROCKS!

-Chris-

About that bicycle in Hell, that road was narrow, it was plain dangerous to smoke that guy, not too bright, I was cringeing while I was laughing, I did not smoke him, but did get some idiot golfer trying to play out of the ditch with his foot on the white line on the way home.

I don't care much for golfers.

I try to smoke carefully, because history does repeat itself. Remember the muscle car era? Don't see too many them around anymore, eh?

Keep in mind, we have no arguement for what we do. If something ends up in court...

"Why did you smoke that crippled lady and cause an 18 car pile up?"

"Because it was fun and her wheel chair chipped my paint. , your Honor. "

:--)

We stand alone out here, we have no friends, anywhere. Our behavior dictates what laws will be drawn up AGAINST us. (as if there aren't enough already)

Everything we do is wrong in practically the entire worlds eyes.

Smoke wisely!!
