MJWenrich I have years of experience with TQ management in was in commercial trucks as far back middle 90s. 5 seconds ....No sensitivity booster will change that, something wrongs and needs to be discovered, typing will not solve it, complaining to Ram and waiting patiently may give results, but if you want the fix's its going take someone with years of knowledge and the resources to do it, dealers are just not equip for this type of research.
I hated the delay also, so I removed what I knew to be the source, the feed holes, it took out 1/2 of the delay away...if you watch what the BD SB does it overcomes this by increasing the Rail pressure fooling the Load % thus %APPS vs Load%. Bosch/Cummins installed the restrictors to stop the turbulences that's created in flow, More even distribution ,but it comes at a cost with restricted volume at low pressures. All kinds of factors ,FCA mapping %/Volts MM3s...I could go on and on.
