Hey guys, does anyone know where to find the right and left side cowl patch panels? My Dodge dealer tells me they're no longer available :{ . Thought I'd check with the congregation before I fab my own. TIA..... Kenny

I thought they were still available, so I did some digging and sure enough the left side is the big NS1. There is one on the locator. New Holland Dodge in PA (717)354-3033. The right side is still good, but only 16 of them left. Maybe order one of them and use it as a reference to make the other side.

Anybody have a set (left & right) that we could borrow to use as templates for making several more sets? Volunteers?

Cowel Patch Panels

Has anyone checked on these lately? My Buddy has truck tore down and it is bad on both sides. I have one for reference, but it is a pretty complex stamping for my abilities.

DBF, did you get anyone to submit theirs for copying?

Kimmel, I printed off your shop-made ones, it may be the only option for now.

How big are these panels and how much of the cowl do they cover? I have an '87 gasser half ton that I've front clipped and am stripping. The roof cap is rusting through, but may have good cowl pieces to be cut out?? I'm not done with the truck, but would like it to be bought and removed sometime soon.

If the panel was flat it is about 5 1/2 inches by 8 inches, but it has a wicked compound twist in it and it is pressed or stamped out of 16 gauge or a little heavier

The reason there was several panels left of the one side was because they were mis-labeled. As you read these posts quite a few people got two of the one side. That's how I ended up with the one I got, they were found in the system after they were thought to be out of stock and NS1.

From the photos I have seen of his work here AKimmel is pretty darn good. That may be the easiest way to reproduce a similar panel in a lightly equipped shop.
