I have replaced mine twice with a plastic china one... ... who makes a nice one that will last... . I am not trying to make it snazy with flames etc..... just normal..... but either SS or real metal... ... I need the entire grill not just the inserts.....

Yes it is. Metal went out in the early 70's. I really doubt you will find anything but plastic I am sorry to say.

Ditto. Ive been through a few of the chrome plated ones. I finally got a grill matched to the color of my truck and its been pretty durable, no bubbling like the plastic chrome would do. Dont think there are metal ones out there.

I think your best bet would be to get a plastic frame and have it painted to match the truck then either put the stock inserts or the SS inserts in. That is probably the best you can do with what is available.

I have been running the cheap ebay model, biggest thing I have found is keeping all mounting screws tight especially the outside edges... if those get loose when you open or close you really stress it out and break them... . I cracked mine this winter, added huge washers cranked it down, run it till it falls off and order another... .

LMC truck has metal ones but they might be a little pricey at $400.
