Knocking on wood NOW!

Truck runs great and gets abused towing time to time. I checked my milage today 80% @ 75mph - 20% @ city= 18. 2 mpg

Flawed trans case-weeped fluid-warranty

3 lift pumps. 1-warranty. FASS now---no problems

2 VP44. 1-warranty. 2nd-my wallet. Rebuilt by company who swears the upgraded version will last.

Some module in transmission-warranty

Clockspring recall

High beam switch-warranty

Pressure pump/steering pump seals leaked-warranty

Fan speed resistor

Trans is going to need something soon.

Original tires replaced at 97,000. Still on second set.



Still like the truck... ... runs great!

2001 2500 - 105,000 miles new. One round trip to Alaska with a 5th wheel.

1 AC clutch failure

1 Clockspring recall

1 lift pump failure

2 track bars

2 Batteries - Phoenix heat is tough on batteries and cooling systems.

Water Pump weeping now (2 bolts to replace though :D)

as this was first posted in 2001, it would be interesting to see how the miles have changed in the 5 years since.

Certainly the percentage of high mileage trucks will be much higher.
 
345000 i am second owner the truck is on its third injection pump 5th supply failed and replaced with fass II second transmission and torque converter.
