99 2500 AT with 39000 with about 30K towing 5er. Not one problem. I do my own service and have never been back to dealer. Have all gagues and installed large rear wheel cylinders. Use Stanadyne performance and MMO.

She's been pretty well behaved as of late. Got some work to do come spring.

rear pinon seal

replace driverside seat cushion and one of the drive motors for the power seat bottom(anybody got one?)

A couple of small dents rear body dents

fuel pressure gauge

Maybe a pac brake - have to think about this one

Set of tires - looking at the michelins

Running on my 2nd VP and lift pump. I think I may relocate the pump .

Switching the drivetrain over to amsoil

Still very happy with the truck. For 141K it has treated me very well.

99,600 and she goes in for a crankshaft on monday. On the flip side, I get a lot of new parts for free, just in the nick of time. And the labor is free for the belt, hoses, and clutch. Got a SouthBend stock replacement. GREAT service. Woody had it shipped the same day even though I ordered very late in the day.

I thought I would be upset by this kind of problem, but all I can think is

WOO-HOO Oo. Lots of free parts. everything will be clean and not a lot of stuck bolts.

211,000 to date. South Bend clutch, FASS fuel pump, original VP44. Still on 3rd set of tires, so can't complain about alignment or front end problems.

422,000 plus?

I bought this fine 98. 5 QC 3500 5 speed as a non-runner. After paying for it the seller said come get it whenever you want. He drove off and I went to work on it. Less than an hour later I was able to fool the VP44 with WD40 in the intake and drive it home. I've spent more on repairs than I paid for the truck but I still feel good about it none the less.

Repairs I've made thus far are the VP44 and lift pump, steering gear and hoses, APPS (bell crank asembly) and the ABS wheel speed sensor. I don't actually know how many miles are on the truck because the speedometer only worked at speeds above 55 when I first began driving it and then didn't work at all for several thousand miles until the sensor was replaced.

I repowered an old step van in 1991 with a 6BT and logged over 200,000 miles before retiring it. The engine is fine and waiting for its next transplant chassis. I also have two high mileage 91's(over 200,000 on speedometers, broken since '99) and my Dad's ride is an '04 3500 4 door 6speed with 44,000 miles.

Diesel all the way!

My Dad (TSearls on TDR) 02 ,6speed, used for hot shot truckin totally stock with original VP 186,000. damn thing runs great!!! He just bought a 4 wheel drive 06 dually and i hope he has the same luck with it

Second owner and truck has 86,100 miles. From talking with the original owner, the major parts are all original. No problems, but a set of gauges are in line soon.

I got 113,500 or so mile's on my 2004. 5 work truck and haven't had any problems yet with the fuel pumps or anything with the motor. The only things that got replaced are tire's and brakes.

May as well jump on the bandwagon... . my 2000 has 65 K . One lift pump replaced so far. Still running factory tires.....

A new set is planned soon though.

187,800 when I traded my 98. 5 in. 1 VP44 and 2 lift pumps and I had a feeling the 2nd VP44 was having issues. BUT, that truck ran better than it did when we first bought it... . It was a real truck! I'm not quite used to my new '06 yet

2001.5

Mine has today exactly 200,053 miles. it was use only for Hotshot trucking, Its bone stock with exception of K&N air filter... ... ORIGINAL VP44 :D ..... My son COWBOYDUALLY on TDR still is in shock... ... Tim... ... I bought a new 06 and the boy has talked me into a edge ez..... ive caught the bug now :-laf
