Competition I-10 travels between New Orleans and Houston

Curious what it is like. Trying to make travel plans for end of the month for Clash of the Titans.



Road closures? Fuel availability?

As far as I know there should be no problems.



You might consider kicking up across Hwy 12 instead of taking I-10 through N. O. though.







Just don't get in an accident in Livingston Parish, they have some strangerules out there. Speaking from experience here.

Fuel is plentiful. I cant remember much eastbound past Lake Charles. Its been a while since I have been past L. C. Plenty of construction right before Texas, both ways. Oh yeah enjoy the bumps. I-10 sucks. Especially from about Vinton, La to the line.



Have a safe trip. And put down a monster # in the 1/4.



P. S. Enjoy the bridge in Lake Charles. 2 lane. You will know what I mean when you get there.

I'd tak the 210 Loop through Lake Charles. Much better road, not as many cops, and a MUCH better bridge.

I would agree Gitchesum. but you can't beat the pucker factor on that 2 lane bridge. Especially if you are coming down the hill and the idiot in front of you locks 'em up. :--)

I have been out to St. Francisville LA the past 2 weekends. . Traffic has been smooth sailing all the way there. I would not take off and go around a loop for any detours, all was well. . You should be ok staying on 10. . Just my 2 cents!
