I know this is what classified adds are for, but I am seriously getting desperate here. I am moving to Texas the 20th, and need a damn shell. I am having a hell of a time finding one, let alone a black one that matchs my truck. So ideally, I am looking for a 03- current long bed camper shell painted black. But honestly folks, any color will due. Let me know if you have any leads or thoughts on where I can save my self some $$$$ and time. Because even if I were going to spend the money for a new one, I am too late now. No one stocks what I need, and if I were going to buy new, I would get exactly what I wanted.

I don't know where Danville, Ca. is but if it is close to the Reno, Nv. area I will sell mine to you. (Cheap too!) Here is a pic when it was on my 05 before I traded the truck for my 06 Mega Cab.

Sorry it's not black though.....

If this deal from Reno works out, all the best. For new shells in SF bay area the best place to go is Bay Truck Accessories, Burlingame, (415) 468-3000. They say they are are the highest volume Leer dealer on West Coast. I priced 4 or 5 different places, including the LA area, and "saved" about $150 going with Bay Truck. They were able to deliver, in matching color, 7 days earlier than everyone else. I bought a short bed-Leer 100R, Dodge white, charcoal gray headliner, drop down slider, installed: $1,347. 35 incl/tax. This still shocked me a bit, but the prices of these things have gone up quite a bit in last few years due to high cost or petroleum based resins, shipping, etc. Note: I have no financial, professional, or personal association with Bay Truck, just a satisfied customer.

Wish you were closer. I have a basically new top-of-the-line ARE Z series that I paid $2300 for new and used it 3 months and sold the truck for a Mega Cab. I'm having a heck of a time selling it. It's for a long bed, but it's Flame Red but could be painted for the money you'll save over a new one.

I might be willing to trailer it somewhere if you're interested.

Why don't you make one, been done beore

I made one once and used 2by2 for the frame work. Then I used sheets of tin and plexy glass. It came out better then I expected. I was in the service back then. It worked very well for what I wanted it for. It cost me about 200 bucks to build.

I wish I could buy it from you. I really like that shell!

I would buy your ARE, but it is Red. The hassle of painting is to high.

Does anyone in the west coast have a Silver longbed shell for sale?

2003 Black LB Shell for sale

I have a black long-bed Century CTC shell that is on my 2003 3500 that I would consider selling, but I am in Oklahoma so shipment time may be an issue. Call me at 214-755-2473 if you are interested. It is the same color black as my stock 2003, lined on the inside for insulation, windows on all 4 sides, and wired with rear brake light. No issues with it -- just don't really need it.

Thanks,
