I installed my newly rebuilt p-pump today and when I fired the engine up the idle was WAY high, like 1600. In the process of adjusting the idle screw it became apparant that the throttle rod was about 1/4 inch too short
The ball on the throttle arm of the pump was installed in the bottom hole. Moving the rod to the upper hole was a match so I put the ball there. Before I call Austin Injector tomorrow to give them h***, would someone confirm for me that I installed the ball in the corect hole? Thanks.
