Big_Daddy_T The name laframboise=the raspberry. A little history on how we got the name. An englishman left England under some questionable circumstances and made his way to an indian camp in a northern French/Canadian area. The indians couldn't pronounce his english name so they called him "the raspbery". That was in the early 1600's. As you can see we've Americanized it over the years to LaFrombois.
When I visited Alaska a couple of years ago I found a place that makes a wide variety of jams & jellies. I can't remember what the name is, but it had a huge chocolate waterfall in the store when you first open the door. I don't know if it's part of the Sourdough Mining Co. , but it's across the street from that restaurant. Great food. I was invited to Chilkoot Charlie's when I was there, but wasn't able to work it into my schedule before I had to leave.
