We tell everyone to crank the engine but don't let it start. At the same time open the oil supply fitting at the turbo and purge the air. When the air is bled out, tighten the oil supply fitting. Start engine and let it idle and warm up for 5 minutes. Check for leaks etc. while waiting. Drive it easy for a mile or two. Then go have fun! Thanks www.indusrialinjection.com

The Super Phat Shaft 66 Is a very versatile turbo it spools very quick for it's size. When you need big hp, it will support up to 685hp. We have done 688hp without propane or nitrous. And will be showing more hp at the Edge dyno event. We should be +700hp and we will post this at that time. If you use propane and nitrous then you could expect a lot more hp. We are not saying that you have to go up to these levels of hp. We are just showing what can be done with our turbos. The Phat Shaft 62 is also a great turbo and represents a turbo that is a big upgrade from the HX/HY model turbos that all Dodge trucks came with. The Phat Shaft 62 will support up to 550hp with out propane or nitrous. Thanks www.industrialinjection.com
 
Any info on the housings for a 2nd gen 24v? Still on backorder? Is there a delivery time in sight? I keep hearing more and more good about these turbos, but waiting for a month+ is getting frusterating. I guess it'll be worth the wait if it is what everyone says it is.

Yes the 62 is an awesome turbo for pulling. It is designed to be a very stable and tough turbo. It's performance is good up to about 550hp and spools very quick at bottom end rpm. As for the 2nd gen housings that we are expecting, we should have them in a week to a week and a half. We are very sorry about the waite and we will be shipping as soon as housings hit our place. We will be sending a shirt with your turbo so make sure we know your size. We appreciate your bussiness with us and we like making cool products that everyone loves. The truck is a 97 auto ( 91% DTT with valve body mods as well ) PDR 370's and a PDR pump that flows about 330 cc's. With the 40 it ran 1500 degrees at 43 lbs.



Now for the Phat shaft 66 super, it seems to spool pretty good but not as fast as the PDR 40 which I expected. Once it starts to spool it does so very well. It runs right at 50lbs of boost at 1425 degrees. Now for the not so good news it has some pretty mean compressor surge at 18 to 23 lbs of boost and and at high boost if you move the throttle around it will surge as well.



I was warned in advance that they didn't have much data with this turbo on a 12 valve so these results hopefully will give them something to work with. So far I am very happy with the customer support and on time delivery of parts from Industrial injection, when they say something will be shipped on a certain date it was shipped and that is all you can ask for IMO.



I hope the here back from Shane today with the next version we will be trying.

We are still testing different variations on 12 valve. Some of the problems that we are seeing is all the different transmissions, torque converters, injectors and injection pumps that may be possible. We want to continue with the 66 comp. wheel so we have been trying a lot of other changes that have profound effects on turbo operation. Some trucks don't have much problem others seem to be different. We are aware and are trying to find the balance. Phat Shaft 62 turbos are very stable on any truck. But the performance of the Super 66 is unavoidable and we want everyone to enjoy the benefits. Thanks

We always try to satisfy. If your thinking about a high performance turbo NOW is your chance while the TDR special is still running. We can build turbos right now but we will run out or low on parts. There won't be any reason to run a special when we can't get product. Thanks 1-800-955-0476

We are sorry but our comp housings are not in yet. We are optimistic about delivery soon but as for today I have to say not yet. We have orders in at the factory and we have also contracted for housing to be made by another supplier. We are just waiting to see which will ship first. We will try to make up for your waiting.
