Hello all,
I seem to be experiencing the infamous intermittent dead pedal. A lengthy explanation to my problem may be helpful to cure to my problem from the helpful members at tdr. So here it goes.
I have a 2002 HO 6spd. X-Monitor, Bosch Marine injectors, stock HX35 turbo cranking 35-37psi boost. A fass system which seems to hold lower than talked about pressures (10-10. 2 at idle and 6. 5-8. 7 WOT) 5" exhaust run threw a donaldson muffler, AFe Mega Cannon air system and a Western Diesel 60hp fuel/timing module and a boost elbow.
Driving normally, I experience intermittent dead pedal, seeminly more after deacceleration to reacceleration. Codes without dash light lit: 0522 and 1693.
Tonight on the way to work, on a steep grade and while overtaking a power-choke.
... pyro 990deg, fuel pressure 6. 9-7psi, boost 36. 5 at 3000rpm... . WHAM, dead!! then just as fast as it went dead, it came back to life. This continued the entire pull.
Seems that the mighty cummins will run up to 2800 in a hearts beat then takes forever to get over that slump.
I understand that Western Diesel has gone out of business or has sold out and my couriosity is weather the codes im setting is because of the module, Vp pump, throttle sensor or none of the above.
I am all ears. . all help is greatly appreciated. I am currently looking at a pdr hx40 turbo and pulse flow maniflold however, I would like to cure my current problem before continuing.
I thank everyone in advance for any information to my cure.
Dan
