I installed the 3200 RPM governor spring and the truck runs great but I have noticed some strange changes. I now have less diesel clatter at idle and less noise overall. It has a much stronger pull all the way up to 3200 RPM but it is much quieter? Is this normal? The strong clatter I had at 2200 RPM before seems to have gone away now also. Could this have been a lean condition when it started to defuel? I do have to learn my shift points all over again now though as I can shift at a much higher rpm without running out of rpm. I did adjust my high idle back down to factory settings, should I adjust it back up or leave it alone? I was afraid I would over-rev it with the new spring?
