Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Is their anything louder?

On the 97 in my sig I have the cat, muffler and the silencer ring removed and also a BHAF , would going to larger pipe be even louder than it is now with the stock size? It sounds great now but Im just curious as to what else may be better

Yes, side exit or stacks are much louder, no muffler need apply.



I run straight 4" with a right rear exit via a 4" turn down just beyond the mud flap. Its very loud, droans like cazy when towing. Neighbors can hear me coming for a mile or better, police turn thier heads to look. Any louder and I would get a ticket... . I run it straight because its cheap. Source Automotive has great cheap systems. . I'll add a muffler when I get the money, its really loud with the windows down.

If you wont it louder, use 2". That will rattle everyones windows.

Change to a 24V VP-44 truck, then you get even more engine clatter plus the loud exhaust!

I live about 2 miles from the local community college. From the looking over of the parking lots, about half the pickups are Dodge CTD duallies. In the mornings about sunup while outside walking my weenie dog, I can hear a few of these very loud trucks leaving Mount Pleasant, about 5 miles away, rowing through their gears and I smile. It's easy to tell which ones have manual or automatic transmissions. When they get into Overdrive the mighty Cummins really "talks". :-laf :-laf

Do a GSK 4000, and valve springs. Add some N2O, a 0 plate, and every one within 3 miles will know you are around. { some trans mods would be helpful unless you just want to make noise!!!}
