i've searched high and low and cant find a price of this enclosure (without sub) anywhere!can somone give me an idea on a good price and where to get one? thanks... . james

Ramhead,

The JL Audio Stealthbox I believe is not available without a sub. It's an all inclusive package  All or nothing.

You might want to check Q-logic They make something similiar That does not replace the center seat but installs in the bacl behind the center seat.

Check out this link from Crutchfield. It has some info and a picture on it. It also is just a form without a sub, But still pricey. :(

Good luck

Kevin is right. It is not avalible without the sub installed. They do make a box for under the rear seats that holds two 10" subs but they are not had with or without the subs.

Yes. The center seat ends up being plastic surrounded by the Stock Upholstry. Not very comfortable but no one usually sits there anyways.

On the other hand Kevin, my Neighbors girl friend likes sitting on the center seat, at least when the sub is pumping;) Actually you can only sit on the thing for short distances because it is hard.

JL does NOT market their enclosures without subs, as they are intended to be properly matched speakers and enclosures. The "universal" enclosures on the market are just that, and there is no control as to what speaker is put in them. Most people don't know the difference, as a 12" sub is a 12" sub, whereas quite the contrary, there is a world of difference.

We do have the JL unit available at a very competitive price, and that will be the best sounding, highest quality combination you are going to get with your given space that will be sacrificed. JL does their homework when it comes to the proper enclosure volume and speaker choice, so you won't go wrong for sure.

With others, you will most likely be compromising with either the enclosure size or speaker itself.

Let me know if you have any other questions on this or any other audio topics. If you are interested in the enclosure you can email me directly.
