I've got a lot to consider and time to mull it over. My purchase time frame is early August. We should have a lot of good first impressions from you early buyers, and the summer clearance season should be nearing full swing. I'd like to get a special order in towards the very end of the 07 model run.

And just by coincidence, I'll be in Washington State early August... How convenient!

Tdr Discount, $1,000.00 @ Dishman Dodge?

I'd like to get a special order in towards the very end of the 07 model run.

My order was in Jan 07 which makes it an 2007. 5. The old first production 07's ended the last of Dec. 06. You may find a reward in calling Adam early in the game. He can give you some idea of how long Dishman Dodge will offer the $ 1,000. 00 TDR Discount. If you are ordering in Aug, that is only 5 months away.

Please, call Adam and let him know that Mel referred you. Adam Macomber (509-924-3250 / 877-568-3363 / Cell 509-475-2480)

U P D A T E:

As of this morning my order placed on 19 FEB, has gone to D1 gateline status, and has an estimated shipping date of 23 MAR Oo.

Adam has cautioned that as of late it appears ESD's might be as much a 1 week overly optimistic. Calculating that week plus 9 days for shipping, it looks like I'll be heading to Spokane 2nd week in April to drive home my new truck :D

Pete

I don't think that it will make in from the land of the Taco in 9 days. I would make sure my truck is on dry land near my dealership before I took off. The NW is nice, but three or four unplanned weeks may eat up you savings that you got on the truck. If your truck is made in St. Louis, then it can probably make it there in 9 days. Are they making any 2500 or 3500 trucks in St. L. now?

Right on Bryan,

Obviously I have no intention of arriving at Dishman before my truck has arrived and Adam completes the aftermarket add-ons I've requested. Yeah I love the PACWEST too but, I'm really not that in love with it. The timetable calculations simply reflect what Dishmans experience has been to date.

Pete

Man, you said a mouth full. I appreciate you taking the time to post details of your buyers research, for the TDR Brotherhood. So far Adam Macomber, deserves the accolades. During my carrier in the US Army, I would fall all over myself attesting in writing the accomplishments of my High Performers. Slackers got the pen, too. As it goes talk is cheap. When you put it on paper it has strength.

Vote with your Dollar.

I have been in contact with Adam here recently as well and have to agree he is very professional, thorough and not high pressure. In his reply to my request for a quote he included a very easy to read and well laid out description of all the costs. As well he included an 18 page vehicle overview that described in very good detail what it was I would get with the order. This is far more than I received from the other four dealerships I contacted for a quote.

Keep up the good work Adam!

U P D A T E :

My truck is being built as I post this... Adam just notified me this morning that the status code has been updated to F which indicates painting... I've attached a PDF with current production and delivery status codes that Adam forwarded me for inquiring minds.

The best thing I did for me, was... ... ... ... CALL ADAM.

Dodge should make this guy the personal trainer for all sales departments. I am still telling my kids, grandkids, friends and anyone who will hear me out about my buying experiance through Adam, at Dishman Dodge.

The big bucks I saved by doing business with Adam, I am now spending seeing family and friends in NV, CA, AZ, and NM.

A big differance between my 2001, 3500, CTD and my 2007. 5, 3500, CTD. Best mpg at 3400 miles is 19. 3mpg.

Called Adam, yet?

Thanks

Great thread. I love the military slang

Looks like you have a fine truck on the way. I will be following your lead for mods.

Great amount of good information posted at your thread.

First class pictures and articles.

Thanks... ... . Yo Hoot

Hi Pete:

Did Adam mention how quickly the trucks are being built now that the EGR issue (I assume) has been resolved? I plan to give him a call this weekend.

Thanks,

Brad

If you are interested in Line X, not all dealers are in the same price ball park.

I called dealers from Sacramento, Bay Area, LA, and Orange County. http://www2.line-x.com/ns/FindFranchise.html

The Vote with your dollar is Don, in Santa Ana, CA. 1540 S Grand, Tel# 714-647-9322. Loupe will answere the phone. Tell her you want to speak to Don about pricing. He will do black or gray, other colors are added value and price. They did my long bed over the rail camper cut, bumper to bumper bottom side panals and Brush Guard in light gray that matches my leather seats. Removed my camper shell and reinstalled. Under $900. 00, talk cash.

I just finished signing the final papers with Adam and the fine print on mine said 5 to 7 weeks. That's pretty quick compared to the 12 weeks it took when I ordered my 98. 5 a few years back.

ANYONE Know how to track railcar on BNSF

Anyone out there know how to Track railcars on the Burlington Northern?

I've found a link for the Union Pacific ( http://my.uprr.com/pet/motorVehicleTrace.jsp ) which carries our trucks from Laredo, TX to Valley Junction, TX. Where I understand they transfer to the Burlington Northern to head west to Spokane, WA. My truck(railcar) passed through San Antonio this morning, hopefully ahead of the tornadoes  That rail car is scheduled to do the BNSF interchange in Valley Junction Wednesday morning. There was a public link posted on TDR prior to 9/11 but that particular link seems to have been disabled around 9/21...

Won't be long and you will be having a great meal at that special Hotel in Spokane, WA. The hook is that you will have to ask Adam what the name of the Hotel is and where it is located.

Hi Pete:

I was wondering why you chose the 3500 over the 2500 Mega Laramie. In looking at the specs, is it because you tow more than you need for payload? I called Adam on Monday and will be receiving the quotes on Wednesday. Also, do you know if the cash incentive is applied before or after sales tax?

For what it is worth, I'm number 18, as in the 18th customer from TDR thanks to you and Mel. I used your name for the referral.

Thanks,

Brad

My preferences in a truck are MegaCab, 3500, LW, SRW. However, Dodge hasn't got to that model yet. The competition may have to set the stage.

Originally, I was going to go with the 2500. Adam, Dishman Dodge, pointed out the extra capacity was just a few dollars more. Dividends are forth coming when you have a professional that knows the product. Texas plates are a couple of dollars more for a One Ton pick-up. One thing I did not want was the exterior cab lights. Cab lights are an issue with some state regulations and the Dept of Transportation, as to, the width of trailer you will pull. Most trailers are close to 8 feet wide requiring cab lights. Sooooo, reluctantly they became part of the package. Hope this helps.

I also asked TDR Members what they thought about Long Bed (LB) or Short Bed (SB). Since that Survey I think I may go with a 5er (5th Wheel trailer) See results herehttps://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?t=173559:

IS DISHMAN DODGE STILL OFFERING THE SUPER “TDR MEMBERS” $ 1,000. 00 DISCOUNT?

Success in your endeavors.

Pete,

Did you figure out how to track the Burlington Northern train cars? There is a way to do it if you register on their website as a 'customer'... there are several screens to go through with several questions. We are paying for the train ride for our trucks so wouldn't we be considered 'customers'?
