Get your truck built the way you want it now for $4. 5 - 5K under Invoice/FWP pricing...

You can pick it up in Spokane WA or have him drop ship it to a local dealer...

It should arrive in Spokane on Thursday then, right? Then a couple of days to off load and arrive at the dealer?

Dont know Brad I'm a little reluctant to predict, Bottomline is we're in the ballpark. Adam will have sufficient time for the usual preps plus I've asked him to Arma Coat my bed, install some Mopar aftermarket items. My flight departs Thursday morning the 12th, I'll have lunch with Adam we'll do the paperwork take some pics, and I'll depart the pattern... I plan to bring the laptop and my digital camera so I'll post pics and travellog as I return to San Diego. I won't have the luxury of a leisurely return, plan to do Spokane to Boise Thursday, Boise to Lake Tahoe Friday and Tahoe to San Diego on Saturday.

Are you going to do anything special with the truck after you receive or just jump on the freeway and go? My order changed from BG to BX today so I hope to find out the ship date soon.

I'm doing the ARMA coat as well. What Mopar items did you decide on? I'm trying to decide on a canopy and running boards - something that will protect the lower portion of the truck. I would even entertain having it sprayed with the coating, if the tech can do that.

My truck order has been D1 (sequenced for production) since the 28th of March with an estimated ship date of 4/11, the status was still the same yesterday.

Don't be too discouraged Terry mine spent a week "D1", once it went "E" it was out the door in about 48hrs. Waitings a B*&#! ain't it!

I think the first thing I'm going to do is slip in Led Zeppelin II, crank it till I can feel Mr. Bohnam beating on my soul and do the Misty Mountain Hop to Boise...

All kidding aside I don't really have the luxury of time that Mel enjoyed bringing his back to Texas but I'll keep it sane. I need to make Boise the first night, Tahoe the next and San Diego the following since I turn into Mr. Mom the next day (best job I ever had:D ).

Mine's a 4X2 and I just wanted some apperance items beside the bed liner I did Diamond plate bed rail protectors, brushed stainless door sill guards, rear wheel well liners, and a chrome fuel filler door.

Do the stainless steel guards cover the paint as well or just the door trim? I've seen so many used trucks with the paint worn off from shoes dragging across the bottom of the truck before the door trim on the floor.

My input from a 4/06/2007 quote from Adam Macomber

Being someone who has searched online (E-bay Steve White Motors) to a dealer in Phoenix AZ . Plus many other nation wide online Dodge dealers. Also all of the local Saint Petersburg / Tampa, Florida Dodge dealers. For well over six months... .

It seems that many dealers don't have the time... to even answer an E-mail question. Let a lone try to work on the best deal for your money. One out of state Dodge dealer (Steve white) of E-bay fame wanted a $500. 00 deposit before they would even quote the actual truck's build cost.

Now that sure didn't stop them from spending a lot of wasted time repeatedly calling my home. Trying to drum up a Sale... . For the very same truck that they wouldn't even quote up front!

Most dealers just want to get you in the door to work some :D magic.

With little hidden fees, like mandatory tinted windows, spare tire locks, bed liners fees plus a door edge guard fee. That one online AZ Dodge dealer / site adds $1596. 00 to the actual trucks cost. That was before a $369. 00 document fee... Lets see thats a few dollars short of $2,000. 00 all hidden from the posted to good to be true??? MSRP.

Here in Florida one Dodge dealer tacks on a $599. 99 document fee plus the old $300. 00 (unlisted) on the window sticker Mopar bed liner and the $50. 00 (unlisted) pin strips.

Adam's quote for a new 2007. 5 Dodge Electric Blue CTD 6. 7 6 speed auto laramie Quad Cad 4x2 LWB truck. Came in at 21. 6% below MSRP. :) with a $35. 00 document Fee.

Plus the one strong selling point, besides buying on price alone: the offer to have the new truck sent to my local Dodge dealer for a $350. 00 fee.

Thats a lot less than it would cost to even (hitch hike) a ride to Washington State and drive the truck home to Florida.

He spent more than an hour on the phone with me and answered each and every question in a very up beat, professional manner.

He also E-mailed a thirty five page 2007 Dodge Truck Ram Quad Cab 2500 4x2 customer preferred code guide. So I could figure out the best possible combinations to order.

If we all had a chance to deal with a person like Adam Oo. in our early years, maybe I wouldn't be so gun shy of most dealers.

Thank You TDR for the in sight. For all of the other members out just kicking tires, please give Adam a call.

Well said Earl; thanks for corroborating what many of us here have found and many more TDR members discover daily. Adam's a gem, if you don't give him a shot at your business you probably light your cigars with double sawbucks, and don't deserve a break!

Well i'm not going to read thru all the posts on this thread, but will make a comment. I bought my truck from Steve White Dodge in Hickory, NC and had a great experience. I got my truck for invoice less incentives less half the holdback. Maybe there are better deals out there but I was happy at the time. Good experience overall, so dont take the original poster's distaste as a generality about the dealership.

I stand behind every word as regards my experience with the sales manager of SWD and retain the email thread that validates the veracity of my entire commentary on that experience. This is the last I will say on the SWD issue because they deserve no further attention!

Adam confirmed for me that my truck arrived from the rail yard today :D

His accessory guy's will get it tomorrow for the Arma Coating bed liner (they do prep and spray on site). They'll also add rear wheel well liners, brushed stainless sill guards for all four doors, a Chrome Fuel door cover and front rear and side diamond plate bed rail protectors.

I fly in Thursday morning to pick her up and head southbound already picking & packing the tunes for that long anticpated ride home!

Gary,

It won't be much consolation but for sake of comparison I ordered mine 19 FEB, it went D1 to KZ 22-23 MAR and was delivered to Spokane this past Saturday 07 APR... That's 49 days!

Hang in there!
