to solve another problem, after trying sundry other things, my diesel service bunch are replacing the injection pump. Now I hope this goes many more miles. I said, while you're removed a couple of things, do you know aboaut the KDP and would you like to fix it. They said they're very aware of the KDP and have fixed in lots of times--by removing the pin entirely. They said it's only a locator for assembly etc and serves no purpose after original manufacture. Is this right? They're going to be working on it today. I've read the archives and I'm thinking I'd prefer to have that puppy loctited and/or "peened" or tabbed. Advice greatly appreciated.
