KYB Shocks?

Hi, I think it's time to replace my shocks on the 06 CTD. I have used Blisn's in the past and am not a big fan of the ride. I was looking at KYB. I was wondering if anyone on here ever used KYB and if so, what was their opinion of them? Any other recommendations are also took into condensation as well.

I've never run them on a CTD, but I've had good service from them on other vehicles.

Bilstein and KYB are top of the line though you can also look into Thuren's basic monotube shock offering.

KYB was known as the lower price Japanese version of the high pressure BILSTEIN.

OEM new ride, but with better handling, would be
KONI STR.T. LT. Lower pressure, twin-tube. Same compression rate as OEM, but with faster rebound. Far higher construction quality. KONI is a peer to Bilstein (overlap) and is well-known for big truck commercial in EU.

The truck I bought has the original shocks on it at 86K mi. One was leaking, a couple more were so weak you could just pump them in and out holding them in your hands. I had KYM Mono Max on my little Ford Ranger and so I put them on the RAM. No where near enough shock. I ended up replacing them with Rancho 9000's and am wondering how well they will hold up. 4000 lb on the front end on mine.

40k with anything is done. Gas pressure declines.
Why low-pressure seen as more desirable.

KONI can be rebuilt, but ship cost, etc, leads towards new.
