I installed the GTR Mini's in my 2016 3500. I did clock them according to AH64DI's thread attached above. While I like the better than stock performance for
whiter light. In the near dusk time period on the road, they really do not light up the road for me. Once it get darker, they are wonderful. I think the Superbright's Topzide show may have too big of a heat sink to work under the size limitation for the housing.
I do consider the money spent on the GTR to well well worth it. I did go with Morimoto fog lights. Which do work better during the dusk time of day.
so for me, the combo works great.

I bought the set from Dieselleds.com for my 13 projectors. They were somewhat of a pain in the @$$ to get in the housing, but once they were in there, they worked great. Had them now for over two years. They were a major improvement over the stock halogens.

There are no street legal LED aftermarket bulbs for retrofit into projectors or reflectors that were designed for LED bulbs. OK, now that I said that, when looking at LED bulbs, look for ones that are designed to mimic the light pattern of what came stock. These typically are going to be the more expensive bulbs, usually in the $100 and up price range. Just buying some junk off e-bay and slapping in a housing NOT designed for LED is going to provide a poor experience, probably very bright, unfocused and scattered light blinding everyone else.

Best resource I have found is https://www.headlightrevolution.com/ They have tested and rejected a ton of LED bulbs, the scrape bin is large.

I finally joined the LED club after lots of research and watching a ton of reviews at the above link and then purchasing four bulbs for about $400. Even $100 bulbs do NOT have the same pattern as a halogen (2nd gen with sport lights) the experience is not perfect. I have adjusted the heck out of the housings and finally have an OK experience on low beam but pattern is a bit strange still. At least I don't get brighted. On high beam they are awesome, but low beam so so where I have to leave them a lot due to lighting up the road at least 1000 feet ahead. Do all the other drivers a favor and adjust and adjust some more so we all aren't blinded.

The real issue is unless the reflector or projector is designed with a specific LED bulb in mind it is all a compromise and while brighter than stock, the experience still isn't what it would be if your lights were designed for a LED bulb.

+1 on headlightrevolution.com. I've outfitted all my non LED vehicles with setups from them. The OEM projector housings are actually the better to have when ditching the halogen bulbs. Be sure to adjust the LED bulbs orientation on how it sits when fully locked into the headlight assembly. On my 18' that had projectors... Both high and low beam bulbs are 9005's but when you do the LED upgrade... One set of 9005's are a compact version. I used the V.4 9005 LED's for the low beam and the GTR Lighting CSP Mini 9005 LED's for the high beams and the anti-flicker modules for a perfect error free upgrade. Both are the same color temp and look great, I also did the Morimoto LED fog light upgrade.... Light cutoff, throw and pattern look OEM. Never got flashed by oncoming drivers. Below is a screen shot of my order if it's any help. I never bothered with any Amazon $12 LED junk, It's money well spent.

Yep, like @AH64ID, GTR minis are great. Search the forum, I installed them on one side and had the halogens on one side. Huge difference! Don't let anyone tell you you can't install an LED bulb in a projector housing. GTR are great because you can clock them exactly to optimize performance in the housing. Also intalled in the high beam as well.

I just installed the Auxito low and high beam lights. I made a slight downward adjustment and just put a whole night of driving behind them and I am very well pleased.
The high beams are unbelievable. Looks like I am coming in for a landing. Low beams project a good pattern of light. High beams just look like a train is headed your way.

FYI,...LED bulbs in any housing intended for H bulbs is still illegal (cept for fog lights). Sorry, but I work nights and I've been blinded by many a Dodge truck running illegal lighting. Shame on ya... How many accidents are being caused by this in America?

Has anyone been able to install LED bulbs in a projector housing on a 2016 3500 ? If so, what LED lights fit ? Thanks !

I'm not saying you are entirely wrong about your experiences on the highway, but you are wrong about what and how we are modifying our trucks. You may be surprised to know that many of the lights you are blinded by could be factory LEDs. My wife's 2019 Ram 1500 with factory LEDs are some of the brightest lights I've ever seen. No suspension mods, only mod on truck is the rear tonneau cover.

You should pay closer attention to how we've added LEDs to our trucks. I and others have meticulously aimed the lights so the beams have the correct pattern and the LED is properly clocked. In comparison, my wife's factory LEDs are brighter than my aftermarket ones and the patterns are very close.

So in closing, you should know that most of us are responsible owners who take great care in researching and properly installing upgrades.

Cheers, Ron

Funny how you think you know that it’s a Dodge owner issue….

I see a tossup of OEM led headlights and modified lights being blinding. They all do it, but if I were to pick the most common obnoxious headlight crowd it would be the lifted 6.OhNo crowd of Furds. Not an absolute, but certainly the lions share.

I see far more vehicles causing issues with poorly aimed, or cheap, halogen bulbs or leaving their high beams on than I do with LED bulbs.

At least those of us that work day shifts don’t have to drive at night.

Sometimes I would like if this form has multiple reaction labels for a post, because yours deserves a good laugh.
