Coobie.
I was thinking of the same thing you are. Talked to a number of folks, here on the TDR and a number of the Dodge Dealers, here in town.
Since I'm a bit concerned about the warranty, especially, with some of the "injector issues" some of us have been having. I've decided to hold-off, for awhile.
I kind of liked the fact that the BDDL didn't raise preasure, that much. But, the downloader leaves a substantial footprint in the trucks computer which, can easily be seen by the dealer, probably causing your warranty claim to be denied.
The EZ, apparently, raises preasure, only. Above the 40-60 hp. levels, it can cause the common rail preasure valve to releave the excess preasure and that valve isn't designed to be worked on a regular basis. It could, possibly, cause premature failure of the valve. The use of the EZ is supposed to be able to be seen by the dealer if they try to look for it. If you remove the box before taking it in to the dealer, you might be able to get away with it's use if the dealer doesn't closely look for it.
From what I understand, a lot of the dealers don't much care if you put aftermarket mufflers or aircleaners on the truck. Just as long as you have a muffler and aircleaner. Guages are OK, also.
They seem to start "getting heartburn" when you mess with the fuel delivery.
Hope this helps. Joe F. (Buffalo)
