$2. 60/gallon and I'm not complaining... I keep waiting for someone to wake me up though :eek:

Why haven't the "speculators" driven up the prices over the Holidays? Pretty peculiar I'd say... Maybe they lost all their loot in the stock market... Hehe.

I think they are afraid of politicians buying votes by passing a windfall profits tax. I am glad it has come down $2+ per gallon ($2. 39 here, from $4. 79 in July), but I still have a problem with paying 80-90 cents more than gas. It makes driving the 1/2ton more economical, and it just aint near as fun.

Just noticed gas went up 2 cpg today at one of the "cheap" stations I frequent. $1. 799/ gallon vs. $1. 779 last night. :mad: Hope that is not a sign of things to come. :{

its 2. 35 here for #2, im thrilled its not ~$5 but seeing regular at $1. 83 hurts a little inside. as long as were using ultra-low sulfer i doubt were ever gonna see it match or beat regular.

We're around $2. 60 in Milwaukee. Gas is at $1. 76, and my girlfriend can fill up her car for $17 to my $70. I guess it's better than when I was paying $120 per tank, and using a tank a week. I did get a lot of "Speedy Rewards Points" from spending so much over summer and I've been eatting free gas station sandwiches with that all winter now.

I don't drive in the winter. I will bet you cash money it will be back up, well up, come next April/May.

I enjoy my NEON in "winner" It holds 'bout 17. 00 worth.

$2. 17 here in San Diego. $1. 61 for gas. An economic "expert" predicts $25-29. 00 oil throughout '09. The oil companies will be asking for a bailout next.

They should have plenty of savings left over from all of their record breaking profits the last couple years!

Gulf Oil CEO Joe Petrowski says gas could hit $1. 00 per gal. next year and a barrel will be at $20. 00. China is a driving force behind this, if they go into a recession Marry Christmas for us far as fuel goes. Diesel and gas has been dropping every day where I live, diesel $2. 26 cash and regular $1. 60.
