On a 95 nv4500.

when the truck is first started in the morning its fine but after warming up and being put to work there is a miss in the idle the miss is a hard miss very noticeable the problem is occurring anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours

also this truck doesnt have guages so i have no idea what it is running. secondly the truck is BONE STOCK i am working on informing him of the bombing ways.

thats what we are thinking is wrong with it. but i thought i would go ahead and check with everyone on here and see what they thought.

on a related subject. i have talked him into just stepping up and getting 300's for it. my question to that is will he need delivery valves for that pump? i know that the 215 pumps can run em fine but never having a 185 pump or 165 (not sure what came with the 95 man. ) i am not sure if the stock delivery valves can handle an upgrade in higher flowing injectors like 300's.

depends if its a man. or auto

94 and 95 auto's have the 160

94 and 95 man. 's i'm not sure about but i would guess the 180

96 and up autos have the 180

96 and up man. has the 215

theres a post alil ways down on 191s. i think it says they aren't really need on the 215 pumps til 400 hp. but are needed on the 160 and 180 pumps

The 300 injectors do not have the best spray pattern as compared to 215's and 370's. For an in between injector I think DD2's would fit the bill.

191 D-Valves are not a necessity on the 180 or 215 pumps.

I would check you fuel pressure. To see what is going on when the truck is missing.

well dd2's may be a better injector but for the price i think he will be extremely happy with them. I run them for day to day driving and have liked them a lot. and with him being completely stock this should be a good enough kick in the pants to bring him around.

I am pretty thrifty, so price is always an object for me. I agree DD2's can be a little spendy. Personally I would opt for the 370's over the 300's. I have heard from many individuals that the 300's are not an optimal injector for the 12v's (there must be a reason Piers does not sell them, http://www.piersdiesel.com/DodgeUSPrice.htm ) Who knows, some guys run 'em and love 'em?
