Did you know this?

Does $2.00 diesel justify the use of synthetic motor oil...

HAHAHAHA

I know that guy from snowest!!! This is his SECOND 6. 0 and he STILL thinks they're a godsend!!! Hang on a few and I'll get his post from snowest about it... .

Here is his post off snowest about it:

Ok guys I will tell you from FIRST hand experience about the 6. 0 Super Duty motor issues. Ok I will start by stating that I have had 3 of them. Yes three! Ok the "Early Build" January 2003 6. 0's had some issues.

1-Computer programming that ford could not figure out so the truck could run piolt injection to make the truck quiet at idle and idle smooth has been deleted so the truck is now about 2 decibles louder at idle.

2-Some trucks had rear seals that were leaking"early build"

3-Injectors from some 2003"Early build" 6. 0s had what were called C-94 injectors that allowed fuel to blow by and leak into the trucks crankcase. Ford went to a new C-95 injector about April/May of 2003 and that issue has all but gone away.

4-ICP's had to be replaced due to warm rough idle.

5-There was and still is a slight "drone" or vibration on the 4X4's from 1500rpms to about1900rpms that is caused by the Turbo mounting bracket. Ford is aware of this and has a new bracket for the 4X2's that from reports has solved this issue. The 4X4 mount is due out soon I'm being told.

With all that said this truck Is by far the most funnest impressive truck I have ever owned and I have all makes from Dodges to Chevrolets. I am NOT partial to any one brand like I am to my Cats. This truck pulls heavy loads like nothing I have ever had. I also have to say Ford has bent over backwards to make me a satisfied customer. They offered me a complete buyback of my 2003 which about blew me away! The area rep called me and said "Mr Hill we at Ford stand by our 6. 0's and will make it right" They then sent me to my local dealer to spec out a 2004 6. 0. I paid only the difference in MSRP from 2003-2004 trucks about $600. 00. They charged me no mileage fee for 17,000 miles that was on my 2003 6. 0. When I got my new 2004 at 175 miles the truck developed a internal oil leak. I said to them I don't want it. they said fine ordered me another truck and gave me back my 2003 to drive until the 2nd replacement came in which now has about 1000 miles on it and all the early issues I had with my 2003 6. 0 have been addressed with the 2004 model except the "drone" which Im told the new mounting bracket will be forthcoming. Yes I have had my share of issues but They have stuck by me beyond what I thought they would. I do believe that Ford put this 6. 0 out about a year to soon as Chev and Dodge were eating away at there market share, but so far my 2004 is more truck than I could of asked for. Impressive to say the least. As with ANY new model from Ford,Chev or Dodge they do have and will continue to have first year issues. Wrong?? You bet but with customers continuing to demand more like myself I don't see away around some of these issues.

LOL... true blue till the end

Ford problems

I had to work this last weekend so I thought I would surf around in the "other" forums. I got to tell you... I'm not really that partial to any one brand, but, I sure am glad I am driving a Dodge CTD and not a Ford 6. 0. I actually feel sorry for some of those guys. I know that all manufactures have their problems but this has to be the worst case I think I have ever seen.

I would rather stick with my "POS Dodge". Our lift pump problems are like cracked fingernails compared to their broken arms, hehe.

I would rather play around taking a chance on replacing a $150 lift pump than take my chances getting a good 6. 0.

Fgnikcu Owner Really Dumb???

I wonder if its really true??? Ford bought the guy three trucks?? How much longer can Ford afford to do that??? Makes you wonder huh!!??:-laf

PS read the title backwards...

Ford handed dodge a chance at market share. This to me explains why the sudden entry of cummins commercials. When one guy stumbles(and stallls) you run in and pick up the pieces.

You know. I give a poop less about brand loyalty or the politics associated but that 03 6. 0 launch was a debacle. There were 1000 guys over there saying it wasnt that bad. Absurd it was a catastrophe the likes of which hadnt been seen since olds thought they could build a diesel.

Says something about the requirements to get a diesel legal. Neither of them ford or intl are freshmen in the diesel market and yet they didnt drop the ball they crushed it.

You see how quick dodge was to beat their power ratings. I hope dodge gets a shot at one third market share. Ford has been king of the hill too long. It will really drive competition if they can be dethroned. This market will explode with new technology. Ford has deep enough pockets. The f150 launch has gone quite well. Lets see whats in them coffers.

Driver Returns On Foot - FORD backwards, remember 90% of all fords trucks made in the last 10 years are still on the road- the rest made it home!

I thought it was... F---ed On Race Day!

I've had bigblock older Fords and it always pi$$ed me off when when a 283 would blow me away! Craig
