Good day gentlemen,

Ivan with FD...

Just as Prairie Dog stated, I am requesting some information by any one who is affected by increased "noise" after installing their Fluidampr. Please email me at -- email address removed -- or PM me. Email would be better.

Please include the following

Name

Ph#

Year of engine

Modifications that have been done

When was Fluidampr purchased

Where was Fluidampr purchased

At which point did you notice the "noise"

Are you only hearing the noise at certain times- RPM's, engine warm or cold, etc.

Have you removed the FD or is it still installed

Any other questions or info you can provide if you feel I left any important issues out

We appreciate any info that you can provide. Anyone who provides info will be personally contacted by us and kept in the loop as we determine what the issues are.

Thank you!

-Ivan

As simple as that!! Thank You Ivan.

Mine went in fine, smoothed out the idle noticeably. No new noises. I hoped it would minimize my minor gearlash from dumping the dmf. No improvement there.

Just sent Ivan my noise info too. I hope it turns out to be just a new noise with no problems. I don't want to remove my new damper unless I have to.

I'm thinking of putting my OEM damper back in just to see if the noise goes away. My old damper is at home and I'm 2000 miles away so it will have to wait until next month.

I hope something is resolved soon. Sometimes my noise is quite loud and other times it's barely there. It's hard to believe that the damper might be the cause.

Ron, do you ever hear the noise while moving down the road?

No I don't. I can only hear it outside the truck. It is the loudest standing in front of the radiator.

I won't know for sure that it's associated with the damper unless I put the original one back on and the noise goes away.

Thats how mine is - never noticed it inside the trk but my hearing isn't so good anymore. Did you listen to the video's I posted? Does it sound like that?

Prairie Dog, my hearing is not so good anymore either.

Your video sounds exactly like the sound I hear in my engine. I describe it as a sort of "tinking", like metal hitting ceramic.

Hi Guys.

I know you are all anxious to hear our findings. We are in the process of trying to install one of the returned dampers on an engine. The problem right now is that we have a few trucks with this engine, however, none have ever seen winter and they are in garages. We can install them but have no way to run the trucks on the road or under any kind of load. We may install and see what we can hear in the garage but wanted to run them too. We are also waiting for Geno's to install one of the returned units they had on an engine there, then compare our results.

I promise you we have not forgot you and will update as soon as we can.

Thanks,

Ivan

I, also, hear the metallic rattling noise when in front of the truck. I recently had ear surgery and can't hear the noise I heard while driving any longer. Vibration - the best I can say is it no different than before the F/D. If I get a chance I'll put the stock dampener back & see if I can still hear the metallic rattle.

I am curious to see if this turns up anything. I also installed a FD and noticed the same noise as everyone is describing, only after its warmed up.

I also have noticed the same noise "tinking" at idle and also while driving (mostly under light throttle and after it has warmed up) my hearing is till fairly good yet. I installed the FD about a month ago. Needless to say it has been driving me NUTS trying to figure out what is making the noise. Hopefully something will come out of the investigations. Definitely looking forward to future posts.
