Plenty of room, Eric. #ad
We do need to zero in on a campground, though.

Got the gauges started today. Pyro is in and working. A big thanks to Aron and Jason for the help. Thanks guys! Waiting on the boost gauge (back-ordered). Could use some tips on hooking up the trans temp gauge. Eric, do you have one?

The dyno will be available Saturday afternoon and Sunday. We haven't nailed down hours for Sunday, but I'm sure they will expand to acommodate. (sp??) Dave is a super guy, and will work with us in any way he can. The more people we can run across the dyno, the more money we raise for charity as well.

I pulled a heavier trailer this weekend than normal, and will be sending check for boost module so it can be installed before we run at Dave's. On a long pull, and making sure the unloaded guys had to work if they wanted to get around, my EGT's were a little higher than I would like.

Couple of things.
First, if you guys want to see how the weekend went at my place, check out http://omerta. digitalmafia.org/~nemesis/pix/2001-04-07/

Kees did an excellent job of pictures and filming.

Second, I would like to suggest that those of us who are planning on bringing a camper decide to go to the Decorah campground. It has the services we will need (showers, restrooms, etc. ) and close to town. Anyone second?

I am compiling a list of those bringing campers so that we will know how many spots we will need. Please let me know what you plan to bring. Here's my tally so far:

Fireman Dave - 27' Taj Mahal
johnrv4 - camper
MN Cummins Lvr - camper
Nemies - camper
Extreme 1 - tent?
Amianthus - pop-up camper

We should also think about a grilling session at the campsite for dinner or breakfast or what have you. Any ideas? My grill's avail. Maybe a steak and eggs breakfast, or burgers for dinner, or grilled chevy, err chicken, pan cakes.

Ray, I've just been informed that I have over 2800# of weight at my disposal, should the HiPo rigs need it. They are two 1400# steel flanges I can get from work for the weekend. But we will need a way to move it. Does he have a forklift? Or should I just not bother? Let me know.

Keep those ideas coming. #ad

We have a pallet of steel slugs that I want to weld handles on, and perhaps glue carpet on the bottom for that purpose. I have a forklift here at the shop, but that won't help us at Dave's, and I don't remember seeing a forklift there. I don't think we'll have that much of a problem needing weight. I live only a couple miles from the campground, so if there are things we will need for a cookout, I'll be close at hand. If there was interest, we could have the cookout at my shop - could put grills inside in case of inclement weather. I hope to have banjo bolts in production prior to then, and could probably have a couple demos setup for those interested in a CNC machine shop. Ray

Just to confirm - count me in for 1 tent. Saturday night yes, Friday still a maybe. If it rains I'll sneak into the Dave's "Truck Mahal" #ad

Count me in for 1 "not a Taj Mahal" camper (24 foot) for Fri. night and Sat. night. I am wondering if Fireman Dave will still associate with us being we all don't pull a "Taj Mahl. " #ad

Thanks,
Paul

Another confirmation- I plan on coming Friday evening with a 23. 5' travel trailer. I am in-between computers now (I won't have the new one done for another week or two). I'll keep checking this site frequently. Going through severe TDR withdrawels.

Another confirmation, Fri-Sun, Wife and I and our 27. 5 5ver. We're always loaded ready to go. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Seven so far. Guys, I don't think getting a campsite will be too much trouble. If seven is what we are bringing. Getting them in a group might be a little challenging, but getting everyone a spot shouldn't be too bad. I'll keep tabs on the count and let you guys know if I find anything new.

Looks like Friday night won't happen, we will be there bright eyed and bushy tailed Saturday morning though.

As for the BOMBing: per my previous post, I am willing to do a couple things (injectors & turbo housing) but would like to have somebody there to help who has done this already. Please e-mail if you fit the description, it would be fun to have some before and after numbers to show. If I don't hear from anybody soon, I'll go ahead and install them here. Getting hard to look at them in the box and I'd feel more secure doing it at my own place.

BOMB ON!!

Honeymoon was a BLAST! Linda didn't want to come home.

I have the injector tool (bolt type slide hammer deal from another post). The injectors are used from a 215 HP that Joe D. had laying around. I think I will get them cleaned and checked before the install. I am getting a rough idle, I'll probably stick those in before the trip too.

Turbo housing (14cm) is used. I plan on tapping for the pre turbo EGT position and drilling the manifold mounting holes oversize at the same time.

Joe D. said I should be around 300 hp at the rear wheels. With the new TC I should be able to roast the tires pretty good.

Thanks for the G-tech offer, e-mail is on it's way. #ad
That will allow me to check before and after on the TC too. Linda will probably want to test her Camaro and Dakota when she hears about it! #ad
By the way, how much hp was that custom exhaust (tip) good for anyway?

I have a G-tech if you want to use it for some pre-BOMB estimations. Email me your address and I will mail it to you. That way you could do some of the repairs at home. As far as injectors go, I haven't done them on a 12 valve so I don't know how much use I'd be. Although I don't think it would be too hard. A turbo might be something you'd want to do at home though. You would get a slight power increase, but because your fueling is the same, you really wouldn't get a huge power jump. What kind of injectors are you planning on?
BTW, my turbo may or may not happen. I am having difficulties finding a turbo that no-one wants an arm and a leg for. I'll keep trying though.

If anyone in our group needs any towing accessories - I just took on a hitch line. If you let me know early enough, I can deliver at dyno days. My cost + freight + 10% to cover paperwork. If you have questions, let me know.
