Well, I will be purchasing a 2019 3500 HO Laramie SRW tomorrow, if all goes well with the promises made on Saturday, after negotiating for half a day. I would have it already, but it just came off the truck at another nearby dealer and had to be preped. So I was told Monday evening the truck will be ready to test drive, and purchase. I refuse to purchase a vehicle if I haven't test drove it first. I'm new to Nevada, I guess there is a law that car dealers have to be closed on Sunday. :eek:

I have a thread in the C&C Forum, but I started it there when I thought I was going purchase a C&C.

The main options are the "Level 2 Larramie package" with 12" screen and Harman Kardon sound system. "Auto level rear air suspension" and "Towing technology group". What I wanted was the dual alternators, but none avaiable near me with the other options I wanted, so I have been fine with the current 220A alternator, so what the heck. I would not have considered a SRW, if they still had the 3:42 rear diff, as the only option. I'm not trying to stir the pot here, but I believe most know my opinion on that subject. So I'll post pics tomorrow, if I get it. ;)

Dual alternators are easy to add, as they all seem to be wired for them. But why do you need that many amps? I can’t see a big need for them outside of ambulance or other high idle loads.

I was VERY anti 3.42’s and swore I’d put 4.10’s if I ever got a new truck. So far the 3.42’s are preforming much much better than anticipated, and 4th is a more viable gear at 70-75 towing on the interstate than with 3.73 or 4.10.

I would like a little more gear on slow dirt roads, but the TQ lock seems to be based on speed and not gear/rpm so it may not make a difference.
 
John, I compare it as if I was purchasing a computer, you should get the fastest and most GB storage possible, because all the programs start to get bigger in size. Ya I don't need the high amps, but it would help in a inverter to run power from it, if I ever wanted to do something like that.
 
That will be easy, I'm going from 305/625 to 400/1000. I'll be towing my boat, to take back to storage when I get it.

Ok, but I’m filthy from work in the picture. I had to run down and put a deposit on it quickly, before they sold it. The truck on Saturday was same but different VIN. By the time I made the deal, the local sister dealer sold it. This truck is same, but right off the trailer. So the dealer hadn’t PIDed it yet.
