Here is a pic showing the difference comparing a stock 3rd gen and the ATS.
Its kinda hard to see due to poor lighting but here is what you are looking at:
Stock on the left and ATS on the right. They are both being held down on a flat counter top side by side with the mounting flange flat to the counter.
As you can see the ATS is shorter and pointed more towards the front of the truck so you have to raise up the lower pipe to connect it which interferes with other components. I remember the power steering hoses were pulled tight around it and didn't fit right to try and go behind the intake.
