Went back out to mine this morning.

It does have slots top and bottom. Not sure how I missed that, lighting maybe.

I also used a set torque not the torque plus wrench angle. Holy crap that’s tight!

Here are some stamped numbers if you want to compare them.

I sent a message to FCA CW today asking why they will not authorize the installation of the Mopar parts I purchased to satisfy the V06 recall.

You could have a dealership or independent shop install the part then charge FCA the labor.

you could save a lot leaving yours on and not worrying about it.

Mine is now over 6 years old, and its not going to get welded on. Its been checked on occasion to see if the nuts have moved , and they have not. If it was going to have a problem it would of done it by now . The only time I really think about it is when this thread comes back to life.

Well the last email from FCA said they were mailing me a check for the parks I bought. O'reilly's rents pullers from around $16 for 48 hours, local store says one can keep them even longer. I was thinking about cutting off the pointed end for this air chisel and use the air chisel to pound on the pitman arm. Thoughts?

comrade sno - i have always used a pitman arm puller. you can buy one pretty cheap from summitracing etc. banging on my steering box or air chiseling near it kinda freaks me out. but have never tried it on a ram.... cheers comrade! :)

Look what I got in the mail today. They paid for the drag link the two nuts, but not the 18 dollar shipping

Be careful on the tool rental. If you don't return it within the "free" time period they charge you retail for the tool. Also when it comes to pitman arm pullers, don't go cheap, they just break most of the time. Use safety glasses for sure as the pieces really can fly when they break.

This new small town O'reilly's said they are very lenient of going past their 48 hour rental times.
