I just finished installing a G56-OKHD in my 2006 3500. I did the hydraulics last.
When I attached the clutch pedal to the master cylinder, I noticed that the pedal was extremely low. This master cylinder has no adjustment to it. I continued with the install, just to be sure. After bolting up the new slave cylinder, I hopped in the truck and pushed the pedal. When I let off, the pedal stayed about 2 inches off of the floor.
I searched around here and found no advice, however I did find a picture somewhere else of the adjustable version. I went back to the truck and verified it doesn't match the picture and no matter how far I spin the push rod, the length does not change.

I left a message with Peter at SBC, as it is Sunday night. Maybe someone here has seen this before and knows what is wrong.

I also had two 'extra' pieces, as the instructions are generic and were missing other information as well.

The clip is the lock clip for the end of the shaft, the other piece is a spacer that goes on either side of the pedal. Mine came apart and I had to figure out where all the parts went. It's a bear to get all that back together and the clip back on trying to lay in the floorboard and reach up under the dashboard. Good luck, hope this helped.
 
The original push rod was mounted to the pedal with a white pin and no clip. Of course, that doesn't mean it's not supposed to be there...
 
Talked to Peter at South Bend Clutch this morning. I was sent the wrong hydraulic setup. He's shipping the correct one with a shipping label for the wrong one.
 
Some years have a "composite" aka plastic pedal arm with a large diameter nylon pin through it and the clutch master cylinder pushrod. Other years have a steel pedal arm with a stud welded onto it. That style uses the bushing and clip pictured above.

I have the plastic pedal and was not too happy when I noticed that. I'm sure it's been engineered, but I can imagine the clutch pedal snapping in half when you need it most!
