I got an email last week with an attachment. My Norton Virus birddog started barking. Although it looked innocent I accepted the Nortons advice to quarantine the thing.

Being a closet nice guy and also thinking that it might be someone trying to get a message to me, I emailed the person back and told them that their was a virus in the email that they had sent me and I had not opened it... ... ... . BIG MISTAKE!

The guy slammed me with 6 emails over the weekend from 6 differant addresses and 6 differant subjects. My Norton Birddog barked so much he is hoarse. BUT, he got them all.

There are some evil people out there... .....

I have my norton set up to just delete the things and not even tell me, the most you can do is report it to your ISP so they will set the system to reject email form that address and report it to the sending ISP so they will delete the account

I wonder if we could out flood him by sending our own emails to the dummy. If we each sent a hundred emails with a large bitmap attachment of a smoking Ram his way in a day, maybe his ISP would cancel his account? Let's see... 14,000 members times 100 would be 1,400,000 emails in one day :)

Of coarse we'd better have our antivirus up to date first, because I'm sure there will be a few buggy attachements hitting us before the guy's ISP puts on the brakes.

You guys should be aware that many viruses are sent with a "from" address that has been stolen. So the person you reply to about it may very well not have a virus at all. Or have even sent an e-mail in some time. Getting an accusation of sending one to you may make them very irate.
