Has anyone seen this problem? So I was driving to work this morning and the check gauges light came on and I looked at the oil pressure and it was reading 0. So I pulled over and shut the engine off. When I restarted it everything was fine for about ten minutes, then the oil pressure would drop to 0, then a few seconds later go to about 75-80, then back to 0. I again pulled over and shut the engine off. When I went to restart it I noticed that without the engine running it was reading 40-50 psi on the gauge (I do not have a pre-lube set up), then when the truck was started it rose to 100 psi. I have the bypass filter system installed and the next time it read 0 I took the oil cap off and oil was flowing at the normal rate returning to the engine. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Bad oil pressure sending unit. It was a chronic problem on the 2nd generation 24 valve engines. Be careful with what you do for a replacement, though. Dodge eventually went to a switch instead of a pressure sender and did a reflash that tricked the gauge into displaying a computer-generated pressure signal.

Also check connection to map sensor . map and oil pressure are on common 5 volt supply. I just had this issue, after changing boost fooler and still having I found that one of the connections was dirty. cleaned all connections new di electric grease and all is well. I see that you have an edge comp make sure all connections are clean and tight.
