Hello fellow TDR friends, and Patriots.
My ride is a 2001 Ram, with the 47RE 4 speed transmission. I recently had it completely re-manufactured, buy a reputable transmission fellow, about 2,000 miles ago. He built me a stage 4 unit, with parts from ATS, and others.
Everything was going good, but from 1st to second, it took quite awhile to get it to 2nd gear, and when it did shift, you knew it !
Now I get a code that's a P1763. Is this something that is "Inside" the transmission ?
I paid almost $7,500 for this, and am "A little concerned" that something is going wrong.
Now, seems like I have to get it up to between 20 and 25 MPH, in order to shift from 1st, into 2nd.
It's still under his warranted period, as I picked it up from him, middle of September.
I don't want him ticked off at me, and want to be on his good side, but any suggestions ? Anyone had this issue before, and how did you rectify it ?
Thanks for your help.

He should NOT be ticked off at all. Call him and explain your symptoms he should have no problem getting you in and fixing the issue if he is the "reputable transmission fellow" you say he is.

Usually it's all about how a person presents the issue!

Yeah I also don't think they will mind, it's all part of the fun of older rigs, it's a chunk of change for sure but it's a big job with lots of pricey parts for sure it's an investment that should pay dividends.

One easy thing is to check your fluid level, at operating temp, parking brake on in Neutral unless he did a new VB that flows in Park. Why not that's free for everyone.

Most of it reads like wiring harness or connection issue but there are some internal checks for the harness inside the transmission.
