Chris,
I didn't have to go to the hardware store for wire ties, I just had to walk to a shelf in my garage. No big deal! However I did have to go and try to find an auto parts store or hardware store to get the 5 amp fuse ($1. 46 for a box of 5) that was not in the fuse holder. It's rather hard to find a auto parts store or hardware store open at 9:00 at night here, maybe not where you're at. However, you are right NO BIG DEAL. Being self-employeed I am very conscious in making sure that all parts are included in the products I sell. I had just mentioned this in hopes that the supplier would be able to supply his customers with a complete product to match the exceptional quality of the Power Edge and parts included in the kit. This just makes for a happy customer! It was in no way a slam to Power Edge!
I have been very impressed with the Quality of service, (ordered Sunday night, received Wednesday afternoon, you can't beat that!!) and quality of the products I received!
Try something, unplug your Power Edge and take the fuse out of the fuse holder and drive your truck around for 15 to 20 miles. How does it run? Like crap!! When I had to drive to find a auto parts store I did not want to plug the Power Edge in until I had the fuse. With all the wiring for the Map sensor installed but no power to and from the Power Edge the truck ran like crap! I was very concerned about this so when I got the fuses I finished the installation with a flash light in the parking lot (just had to put the fuse in and plug in the Power Edge). The truck ran great after that.
You are right, because of running (no excuse, just put my mind in other places) for the fuse, I didn't read the last of the instructions. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I will do some more testing tomorrow. By the way line 23 tell you how to adjust the different power levels.
Thanks for your help, Big Bob
