Great I would do it but I looked at your sig and I would finally have money again and nothing to spend it on. I will just have to live vicariously through the rest of you. The sad thing is the way my luck is with electronics lately I will sit and wait and then it won't be a dam for 3rd gens.

I was just getting ready to say yes and realized that you only have the quad cab and the kids will kick the back of my seat and I hate that.
 
question to HO beta testers

I would like to know if the new quad box if this is helping with a smoother power curve. . (let me explain). my current tst and smarty on any sw 5 or higher with only tst 4 or 5 I can easily slip my clutch in 3rd and 5th gear. I had to relearn to drive with the clutch due to this. wondering if you could explain the power in relation to the bottom end and 1800-2300 rpm with this box. . I hope I have made sense with my question. . thanks...

I had the Drag/Smarty stack & this box is smoother power for sure. The old stack would fuel at 1800-2000rpm & throw you back in your seat, that is what kills clutches is the BAM effect. This box is smooth all the way from idle to redline. You do get a BAM effect when the turbo lights, but it is smoother than the stack.
 
Okay after my injector install RV275's strongly considering the Adrenaline but need help to push me over the top!!! First on the high idle function lets say I am in Phoenix 110 degrees and have the AC going to keep the dog cool while having lunch. Will the idle be controlled to keep from washing down the cylinders, etc. from a prolonged idle? What about cold temperature warm-ups? Since I pull a 14,000# 5er what would be the best program to use when towing I for sure don't need to pull 8 percent grades at 90 MPH. I want to increase low end grunt mostly and not have to change clutch, U-joints, etc. which I can control a lot with my throttle foot while keeping EGT's in check. How about as a daily driver I don't drag race, etc.
 
Bob, the Adrenaline is quite user friendly and there are already downloadable functions for high idle warm-up and I'm told the commander will be optionable soon to control many custom functions like the high idle,turbo timer, and many protection features already built in. For towing/daily commuting, I like settings 2 and 3. For mileage 1 or 2. And if/when you need more or less, it is only a push of a button away! on the fly adjustment. And with the built in safety(when that download is chosen) there is a EGT limiter so you can keep your eyes on the road and not always on your guages. Did I mention guages? Fuel press. ,EGT,Boost,oil/trans temp? All standard and included!! Visit Quadzilla.com and check it out, as a package the Adrenaline just cant be beat. Thanks Quad! it was worth the wait!!!
 
DCreed - Thanks for the information and I did read Adrenaline page. One of the things I really need is to have a higher idle to keep from washing down the cylinders during long idle at higher temps. Already one time truck parked and had one of those coolers you can pack with ice and very hot. Came back an hour later from lunch all ice gone in cooler; cab hot and dog very hot. Scared the heck out of me and will never use that system again. If that is currently available or will be the purchase will happened. I suppose of course can use a stick from seat to fuel pedal to keep RPM up!!!
 
I would PM Quad directly, but I believe the high idle engages after two minutes for just that reason.

on the vechile i tested high idel on it engaged high ilde after 2 min when the temp was 50 degrees out. and it keept the egts around 360 to 400 degrees wich in my opinion is enough to preven cyilnder wash.

50* ???? How is that possible when the ecm monitors outside air temp and will only engage @ 32 and 3cyl high idle at 16*

Adrenaline

Just got the box in today, hopefully have it installed tonite after work! I'll let you know my impressions. I really like some of the features that are included with this box which is my main motivation for switching from my Edge comp! I'm amped to see if i can get the same power and tow with confidence this summer not constantly worrying about my egts.



Truck Specs: 99 Quad Cab, 3. 55 gears, AFe stage 1, ATS intake w/ Stage 3 snow performance, 90hp injectors, Edge Comp, 5" Straight pipe.



During the summer I tow alot and easily push 1300F pulling about 8,000lbs. (Didn't have the water/meth last year, but still the thing would be spraying all day!) By the way anyone with a Snow Stage 3 setup for towing: What nozzles are you running and what settings on the controller? Thanks.
 
I drove a buddys truck today that has the Adrenalin on it and it seems to have a "Dead pedel" anywhere past half throttle from PL03- and up:confused:


He sent it back to Quad and they said it was put on a truck and it ran fine, well its not on his what gives???
