Since the beta testers thread was deleted, I thought I'd comment on the new quadilla xzillaraider modules that are coming out. We've recently been allowed to share a little more information as the testing is coming to a close.

My experiences have been really good with it so far. The driveability is the same as stock - totally seamless increase in power - not peaky. Everything seems normal aside from having a LOT more power. There are two modules, standard and race. Both have 4 way adjustability in cab. Standard is 0-30-60-100hp, and race is 0-60-100-140hp. I tested the standard module because I have a stock trans and turbo. I could run the 100hp setting and from 0-100mph empty I'd peak at 1300rpm and settle a bit lower than that. On the 60hp setting the most I could hit was 1100 and it would drop after that. I'm pretty pleased with these egt's because typically you aren't WOT that long - so the 100hp setting is totally safe/driveable for normal conditions (empty). Safe for the trans is another story :-laf I should also comment the box is set up for a pretty clean combustion. Even on the 100hp settings I couldn't get any smoke. While this may dissapoint the rednecks, it certainly helps diesels' image overall. The more we smoke out voting ricers, grandmas, and others, the more it negatively affects the diesel industry.

Anyway I just wanted to post some info, because I know several folks were waiting for it. The production models should be out in a week or two I believe.

I read they are also going to have a third module that is for towing that does not have in cab ajustability, 65hp and 150ft/lbs torque. If the towing module is priced right I may try one out.

Xzillaraider beta tester

I was also a beta tester for Quad's new Xzillaraider. All I can say is it is really great!

I had the Edge EZ on my truck before and I was mostly happy with it. My main complaint was the way it made the truck lope, especially in the morning when it was cold. Then the lope was severe and very noticable, to everyone. I was considering removing it all together.

Now, with the Xzillaraider, the truck idles smooth all the time. It is especially noticable in the morning though, no lope at all. I too tested the standard module because I was afraid of the high HP of the race box. Ths standard version will give those of us with stock drive train the kind of "set your hair on fire" performance we all enjoy. I just got back from a 350 mile trip over the Cascades and the computer tells me I am getting 24. 6 miles per gallon. I haven't filled back up and hand calculated the mileage, but the seat of the pants and fuel gauge told me it had gone up.

The power comes on very smoothly and hangs in there right through the power band. I tried the 100 hp setting once and it gave me all the power I will be needing for a while. It stays on level 2 where I can still get out and haul some serious ***** when the spirit so moves me!! And I do love the inside the cab adjustability. Instant power, whenever you need it!!

I would recommend the Xzillaraider to anyone, race or stock, who wants more power, at a reasonable price. I don't know for sure what the actual retail price will be, but I think the standard box will be in the same price range with the edge.

I am not one for recommending any company's product, but this is one I will stand up for. It works, gentlemen and ladies. This product does what it says it will, and it does it very well.

Try it, you'll like it, a lot!

Alan

Oo. :D :-laf Oo.

Bertram - I also read about the 65hp non adjustable towing module that will be coming out at a lower price. However I think the price on the standard module is going to be pretty reasonable compared to a lot of the competition, and the adjustability is nice. I personally think that with some loads the 60hp setting may be too much. Empty though, as kcnizdodge has posted - the 60hp setting is awesome. Plenty of pop for getting around and on the 100hp setting I fear for my trans.

kc - I like your 'set your hair on fire' comment. It is really surprising how much this box changes the truck's performance. On the higher settings it's just night and day from stock.

For those of you that haven't done one of these modules before, or have only modified your gas vehicles with intakes, exhausts, etc - these things do a LOT more than ' a little improvement'. I have friends with gas vehicles with small upgrades done, and they ask me questions like 'can you actually feel the difference' or 'is it that noticeable?' To these questions I simply laugh and tell them to hop in . The look on their faces is priceless when I crank up the knob and stomp the pedal. :)

Quad box tester

I too have tested the standard box and AMEN to what has been posted. The driveabilty, adjustabilty and smoothness of power on all settings makes this a 'Must Have' box for any truck. :D

Yup, shore does, off, 30, 60, and 100 horsepower. Kinda like low, medium, and Holy Crap! I just checked my fuel mileage for my trip and it has gone up from 18. 5 to 20. 4, not bad! The EGT has also gone down by 75 - 100 degrees on average.

I LOVE IT!!

Does it have a monitor similar to the attitude w/juice or are individual gauges required?

How's the install? What's the time frame on shipping?

I'm seriously considering ordering one of these in Standard Box format. Any opinions on this one versus the BD Power Pup? See sig. for mods.

P. S. 5" exhaust systems should require a notarized signature from a buddy promising to help install them. One man install is PERT NEAR impossible (but it can be done) :{

Just got off the phone with Stan and now I'm perplexed...

I was dead set on the juice with attitude, now I'm lost! LOL

I'm getting ready to throw on an HTB2, ATS manifold and what he told me sounded delightful:D Not to mention they are in my backyard.

ARGH!!!!
