First post since I bought the truck over a year ago.

I want simple power that I can upgrade, with no intention of getting too crazy or voiding warranties.

If I install a power ez, will I be able to see any increases in performance if I go with a 4 inch exhaust, 4 inch elbow, and DD2's later on? I just do not want to puncture the pump wires a worry about dealing with the dealers.

So far the only thing I have done is remove the muffler. The truck is now too loud for my liking, so if you can think of a quieter method of freeing up the exhaust let me know.

Originally I ordered the Ottomind and gauges from Banks to get things started, but after a little research I think that may not be the way I should go. I intend on shipping them back as soon as I get them.

Thanks for all responses.

If you are worried about voiding the warrenty then you better wait till 101k on the odometer to do any Mods. When the time comes there are quiet 4 exhaust systems out there and the ez or a van aken box is very mild and simple you will notice a big difference with just a timing box, add injectors and you are on your way to auto trans upgrade or clutch. Good Idea to send the Banks stuff back.

Put the muffler back on, you gain very very little by taking it off at stock or nearly stock levels. The EZ will be a very nice addition, as would a Van Aaken, or a Puck. They CAN be detected by the dealer, but is extremely unlikely that the tech knows how or would take the time... ... .

I don't know what kind of truck you drive. I added the PE EZ and the boost elbow. That is the only mods I have, the EGT's is about 100 degrees less. Before the EZ I could hit 1300 and the ECM would defuel. Now I just keeping pulling up the hills without a problem.

"I am my own warranty" remember that!

Now with all that said..... Not all transmission's are made the same. Some guys have had bad luck with the EZ and folks like me have had good luck. Internal leaks are the things that DC has a bad time with. All Dodge transmission's are not built the same.

But I guess I could tear up my transmission this weekend!
