Well my radio is on the fritz again. The first time it acted up the # 6 disc started skipping. Had that fixed under warranty. Then the volume switch went out, they told me it was the switch in the steering wheel and replaced that. I don't use that switch at all. Now both problems are back again and I am just out of extended warranty. What are all of you replacing the factory radio 6 disc changers with. Thanks.

When my 2nd 6-CD changer failed, I replaced it with a Sony CDX-GT640. It can interface directly to a newer Ipod or a USB stick. The Ipod controls on the deck work fairly well (better than a Kenwood I've had). The adapters to work with the factory Infiniti amp and steering wheel controls cost almost as much as the stereo though.

Minus the canbus adaptor that we are forced to buy - this is why I NEVER buy the nice stereo. The nice speakers and deck you spend $1200 for are quite cheap when you compare them to a $1200 aftermarket setup. Sure it takes effort/time, but I bet a stereo shop would sell and install it all for $1200. In the end the sound it better, and they usually last longer. I just replaced my Kenwood after 10 years and the speakers still sound good.
