I have heard some members complain about the brakes; anyone tried performance type of replacement pads? If so, do they do a better job?Which brand?

emarsh,

I agree 100% with Bob. I ordered pads for my Y2K from Sam and got a kit which included the lube needed for the sliding parts so the brakes won't squeek.

I got not only the brake pads and lube, but I also got access to Sam's advice when I couldn't figure something out during the change.

Not only that, but the best part is that Sam was a bit less expensive than any of the local parts suppliers, including the discounters.

I'm really happy with my carbon-metallic pads from Sam and will buy from him from now on.

He's on the west coast, and his phone number is 360-357-4958.
