I would like to replace the front speakers in my truck with aftermarket one's and I would like to keep the factory RAZ code Infinity Radio to keep the stock look. My truck has the intermittent cutout mentioned in the Dodge TSB, has anybody done this and have a wiring diagram available. I've read old posts and they seam like its easy just bolt in the new aftermarket speakers and away you go ,but there is a mass of wires on the front speakers with the amps they have and I'm not sure how the aftermarket stuff just hooks right up . I have a pair of amps available if needed ,(one Kenwood 75 watt ? and one Profile 600 watt ) but not interested in extra loud music anymore just want it to not cut in and out .

If you order from Crutchfield, It comes with the wire connectors to go from your factory wires to the new speakers so you don't have to cut the wires. Also comes with all mounting equipment needed. Usually no tax unless you are in VA and shipping is low. This is if you are the do it your self kind of person. www.crutchfield.com

I agree with Dirty Dodge. Crutchfield is the way to go. I wish I would have went with them, but it was a lesson learned.

Crutchfield is consistantly overpriced in my experience. I get the catalog, but just to see what is new on the market. I have found that I can easily find better deals elsewhere.

As for speakers, I recommend MB Quart. It is the Klipsch of car audio. I have them in my truck, and are the best sounding car speaker I've owned, and I'm comparing with Alpine, Clarion, and Pioneer.

I know this isn't the popular opinion, but how about replace the front pair of speaker assemblies? The mass of wires you are looking at are the radio outputs feeding the amp, and amp outputs to the rear speaker and tweeter for each side. Plus a power and ground in there to power the amp.

I just ordered the pair ($300), and compared to the cost of aftermarket speakers, and aftermarket amps, a person could easily spend as much as replacing them with OEM Infinity.

This should fix your cut-out issue (someone correct me if I'm off base) and truly be plug-and-play.

called Crutchfield they did not have an adapter to plug into the factory harness , but was able to tell me how to hook a set of aftermarket speakers with the amp that i already have , guy was very helpful and appeared to know his job well , guess i will be cutting and splicing anyway.
