Not sure when his bumper was manufactured but I think they have a computer welding unit in now.

Some pictures in my album below show the Catz hyper white lites there the ones that don't read PIAA :D you can also see the winch bay cover I made out of some aluminum diamond plate to cover the batteries.

BBD, mine was manufactured during November and December of '04. I just checked mine thinking maybe it had both foot down and forward mounts, but it only has the forward mount.

Thank you for posting this. I am looking at purchasing some bumpers for my truck and like you I realy like the looks of the road armor (armor road ) bumpers. After reading this there is no way they will see my money. Im sorry to hear about your troubles your post truly saddens me. In my oppinion things like this are a direct reflection of the decline in ethics of the American work force. Don't get me wrong I love my country and am as patriotic as the next guy. But when I see things like this (and it is becoming increasingly more common both in service and products) I can't help but wonder if we arn't gradualy loosing this country(yes I'm serious). ARMOR ROAD ? did the person that assembled this even speak english,Don't they know who they work for? What company would ship a product that is a month late, damaged, missing welds, miss labeled, unfinished, no instructions and tell you sorry paint it yourself????????Im sorry but theres no pride in this at all. For crying out loud America WAKE UP!... PERSONLEY I WOULD QUIT MY JOB BEFORE I WOULD LET SOMETHING LIKE THIS P. O. S. BE SHIPED TO A CUSTUMER

AMEN! (but let's not get off the subject here)

I would think that they would want to build/maintain a good reputation and not have a customer with a product that reflected otherwise. I would ask to speak to the owner and let them straighten it out. They should treat customers better than that.

Road Armor Issues -- Resolved!!!

bighammer -- The owner of the company gave me a call this morning and offered to work with me to resolve my issues. He mentioned that the person I had previously spoke with failed to realize how upset I was at the time.

He has offered me several possible resolutions, all of which are adequate in my opinion. One of the options I was given was a full refund of the product including shipping, etc. I never said I didn't like the product, in fact, I really love the look of the RA. It was the initial lack of customer service that I was upset with. As I mentioned before, the brackets are extremely strong, looks better than the competitors product, etc. For these and other reasons (such as labor), I was not entertained by the idea of a refund on the product.

Another option he offered was to do an advanced exchange replacement of the bumpers including shipping costs, shop fees, etc. I'm beginning to think that I might have jumped the gun in saying that they have no customer service. I am the first to understand that every product has an occassional lemon -- this guard was one of them (As was my previous Chevy). Thier willingness to completely rectify this situation has shown me that they ARE willing to take care of their customers, unlike what I had experienced the first time around.

I'm not one to jump up and slap any company in a public forum without first contacting the company for resolution. It looks like the resolutions they had initially offered did not completely follow their company policy.

Either way, I'm satisfied with the solution that we agreed on and will most likely be a satisfied customer in the end. Road Armor has apologized to me for the inconvenience and I feel obligated to let all of you know that all of the open issues are being resolved as stated in their company and warranty policies.

That's great and frankly a relief. I love the looks of the Road Armor's and just hope they get the quality control in place before I order mine. Glad things worked out for you.
