Hey Guy's We are on th hunt for a Left hand Mossberg 59-816 shotgun .Can't seam to find anybody that will order 1 for us or even look deeper then the desk top. We contacted Mossberg and they said to tell the dealer's to Dig Deeper because they are out there .but Still refuse to order for us .How would we go about getting 1 ? Any Idea's . Thank you

This is not the exact one you want, but there are lots of parts available for the 590 and it is less expensive to buy the basic one and pick out the parts you want than it is to get the factory special edition stuff. Short barrel plus mag extension is about $150 heat shield is $30. You can put the short barrel on the standard version, but you cannot put the long barrel on the 59816 version because the do not make a long barrel with the loop for the barrel nut in that location. They are new this year so finding the exact one you want will be tough.

You could also go with a browning BPS. It is bottom eject making it ambidextrous.

Yeah it's for my Son he is looking for that Model .Doesn't want the bottom ejecting but they are nice . He's the Lefty so I'm trying to help him Out .

That is the exact one you are looking for and it is listed almost $200 over what the street price at a good shop should be. You can get all of the accessories for the various models either from Mossberg or places like Midway/Brownells, and make the basic one what you want. You can also get parts that don't come from the factory. So for about the same price you would pay in a year when the prices are reasonable for the 59816 you could get the basic model plus the mag extension and short barrel. Then you basically have the same gun plus an extra barrel for sporting at the same price. The heat shield is a shenanigan at best, but there are nice replacements for the slide, and stock for upgrades especially if it will be a home defense gun. The Flex is probably the best bet. The parts are easily interchangeable and available. By the way, nobody has ever needed 9 shots from a 12 ga. for home defense. You would either have to be a mob target or you'd have a lot of explaining to do. And by the by, birdshot is the best home defense load.

I am not sure why he want's this gun .But It's His Money and he is dead set on finding it .Thank you for the Help .You won't believe how many Dealer's We have contacted looking for a Left handed Shotgun . We don't need it for home defense because between the 2 Ar's and a Mini 14 and a few other goodies we have that area pretty well protected .

Well at least try to haggle some. Thats only $30 under MSRP. Add on shipping and transfer fees and its about another $100. Those listing pop up all the time. There might be four more out there next week, and he'd get a better deal.

Yes your right it's not every day that they sell a Lefty .I have 1 shop Local in So Cal that say's they can order 1 so Monday will tell the story.If we go on line or local.

Well good luck. Just keep in mind that is a $450-$470 gun. Try not to let the gun lust control his mind like it does mine.................ooooooooooooooohhhhh that's shiny.

That's what we are shooting for is equal price .And as for spending Money Fast .Not this Kid .He can stretch a dollar farther then anybody I have ever seen. he's so Cheap he uses my Wifes jetta because it get's 40 mpg or better and his Dakota only get's 17 .He's so Tight he Squeak's as he walk's
